Breast Cancer Research Foundation is presenting a Virtual Hot Pink Evening on Thursday May 20, 2021. The event will feature host Elizabeth Hurley, with special guests Sir Elton John, Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka, Edie Falco, Gayle King, Sebastian Arcelus, Will Chase, Wilson Cruz, Edie Falco, Kathryn Gallagher, Mandy Gonzalez, and more.

Kate Wetherhead, creator of the series “Submissions Only,” author, director and Broadway actress, is writing the book for the new musical The Devil Wears Prada with playwright Paul Rudnick. Kate Wetherhead is the co-creator, writer, director and star of the online comedy 'Submissions Only'.

For the first time, Foundation supporters worldwide are invited to attend the famed Oscar party by joining a 60-minute Pre-Show Special produced by Fulwell 73 at Rosewood London.

Earlier this week, Condé Nast's LGBTQ+ brand Them hosted Out Now Live, a celebration honoring the spirit and history of Pride. The 28th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards® Viewing Party with Netflix's Queer Eye Fab Five: Bobby Berk, Tan France, Karamo, Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness raised over $6.4 million for the global effort to end AIDS. The hosts of Netflix's Queer Eye Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Karamo and Bobby Berk will join the 28th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party with Honorary Chairs Sir Elton John and David Furnish in Los Angeles on February 9, 2020. British actor, singer-songwriter and BRITS Critic Choice Award winner in 2018, Sam Fender will perform at the Party, with Presenting Sponsors IMDb and Neuro Drinks. IMDb will once again broadcast its annual 'IMDb Live' streaming show during the party. The four-hour show will be co-hosted by Aisha Tyler and Dave Karger.

Tony Award-winner Beth Leavel will play the iconic Miranda Priestly in the new musical, The Devil Wears Prada and the role of the wide-eyed assistant, Andy Sachs, will be played by Taylor Iman Jones (Groundhog Day, Head Over Heels). The Pre-Broadway World Premiere of the new musical will open at Broadway In Chicago's CIBC Theatre from July 13-August 15, 2021 for a limited run prior to a Broadway engagement. The production had previously been announced to play in Chicago next year at a different venue.

Last week the book 'Me' was released by the legend Elton John and it got me thinking about Elton's contribution to musical theatre. His music and his generous personality have touched millions. His musical fantasy movie Rocketman, that came out earlier this year, based on his life is one of the greatest, in my opinion, films ever made. He has such a passion and love for everything he does and what he has given the magical world of musical theatre is just as extraordinary.

During the auction lot for ROCKETMAN: an epic musical fantasy about the incredible human story of Elton John, Alexander Gilkes welcomed to the stage actor Taron Egerton, star of the upcoming motion picture film. Following a short preview of the trailer and a round of bidding on a trip to the London premiere of the film, the audience was taken by surprise when Gilkes asked Taron to sing one of Elton John's songs. Only agreeing to the performance if Elton played the piano, guests were brought to their feet as they watched Elton John take his position on the keys while Taron belted out the lyrics to one of his most beloved ballads, "Tiny Dancer."
