The production is written by On The Rocks co-founders Christopher Ford & Dakota Rose with original music by their frequent collaborator Andrew R. Butler. Ms. Rose helms the production as director. This world premiere production invites audiences to experience the world of coin-operated laundromats by seeing a play in a coin-operated laundromat in historic, downtown Annapolis. Maryland playwright Bob Bartlett's time-bending play, THE ACCIDENT BEAR, comically traces the first and last moments of a love affair between the accident-prone Bear, who owns a coin-operated laundromat where he also lives, and Chance, an unemployed paramedic living in her 1978 Volkswagen Beetle, who stumbles into his lonely world.

On Saturday, December 15th from 2-4pm, the Provincetown Theater will host a social gathering for writers throughout the region interested in participating in the future of the Provincetown Playwrights Lab in the lobby of the playhouse at 238 Bradford Street in Provincetown, MA. Munchies, seasonal goodies, and libations will be served. The event is both an informal discussion of the Lab's future needs and goals, as well as a celebratory "homecoming."
