On Thursday, April 20th at 8:30pm, Composers Concordance brings together the exceptional instrumentalists of the CompCord Jazz Ensemble for an evening of high-velocity newly written jazz compositions, as well as great food and drink at NYC's legendary Jazz venue: Birdland.

San Jose's own Cliburn gold medal winner Jon Nakamatsu reprises the first work he ever played with Symphony San Jose: Grieg's Piano Concerto. The program ends with Florence Price's pioneering Symphony No. 1, skillfully incorporating spirituals, folksong and syncopated African American dance rhythms into a classical structure.

Highlights in Jazz returns to BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center for a festive 50th anniversary concert on Feb. 23, 2023. Jack Kleinsinger, the founder and producer of the highly regarded landmark jazz series, has put together an exciting, generation-crossing all-star concert lineup to mark the occasion.

Tilted Axes: Music for Mobile Electric Guitars will open The 2022 Village Trip Festival with a musical procession beginning and ending at St. John's in the Village from 2:30pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, September 10th.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Christopher Wilkins, will bring its annual summer series of free, live orchestral concerts to the iconic DCR Hatch Memorial Shell on the Esplanade, with a special focus on concerts in East Boston, Chelsea, Roxbury, and Mattapan.

This 3rd annual collaboration between NYC and Beacon artists will be held at the Howland Cultural Center, which was the first building in the City of Beacon to receive the distinction of being placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

With the roster still building, Theater for the New City has currently scheduled over 190 performing arts organizations, independent artists, poets, puppeteers and film makers for its 27th annual Lower East Side Festival of the Arts, which will be mounted May 27 to 29 in and around Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave. (at E. 10th Street).

New England Conservatory President Andrea Kalyn and the Board of Trustees announce multiple Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter James Taylor as the commencement speaker and honorary degree recipient at the Conservatory's 151st annual commencement exercises, which will be held in-person on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

Tim Robbins has joined the list of celebrities contributing performances for Theater or the New City's 2021 'Love 'N Courage' gala March 22, which benefits the theater's emerging playwrights program.  Robbins joins Charles Busch, David Amram, F. Murray Abraham and Vinie Burrows in the roster of stars sharing prepared performances.
