Trap Door Theatre will continue its 29th season with the US premiere of Joan and the Fire, Matei Vişniec's playful and timely piece about revisionist history's effect on the iconic figure of Joan of Arc. Directed by Nicole Wiesner, Joan and the Fire will play March 9 – April 15, 2023 at Trap Door Theatre, 1655 W Cortland St. in Chicago.

Hell in a Handbag Productions will continue its 21st season with the Chicago premiere of I Promised Myself to Live Faster, an intergalactic queer extravaganza featuring closeted extraterrestrials, high stakes pursuits and nuns from outer space, created and conceived by Pig Iron Theatre Company, with text by Greg Moss and Pig Iron and directed by JD Caudill*. I Promised Myself to Live Faster will play March 23 – April 16, 2023 at The Chopin Upstairs Theatre.

The Factory Theater,1623 W. Howard St., is canceling the preview performances for The HOA this weekend, September 9 - 11, due to a small fire at the theater.

Due to popular demand, Hell in a Handbag Productions’ hit parody A Fine Feathered Murder: A Miss Marbled Mystery has added five additional performances, extending through Saturday, August 13, 2022 at The Chopin Upstairs Theatre.
