Season two guest stars reprising their roles from the “Monsters, Inc.” franchise include Aubrey Plaza, Nathan Fillion, and Bobby Moynihan, along with Jennifer Coolidge, Rhys Darby, Janelle James, Jenifer Lewis, Ali Wong, Bowen Yang, Paula Pell, Danny Pudi, Cody Rigsby, Jimmy Tatro, Danny Trejo, Joe Lo Truglio and Alan Tudyk.

The Short Film Grand Jury Prize, awarded to one film in the program of 53 shorts selected from 12,098 submissions, went to The Masterpiece, directed and written by Alex Lora Cercos. This year's Short Film jurors are Christina Oh, Danny Pudi, and Charlotte Regan – all of whom are Festival Alumni in honor of the Festival's 40th Edition.

The guest stars includes Alison Brie, Barkhad Abdi, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Kurtwood Smith, Laurie Metcalf, LeVar Burton, Stephen Colbert, and Tim Heidecker. Tonight, Tuesday, May 23rd, the 24 Hour Plays will present a special edition of The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues in solidarity with the Writers Guild of America, who have been on strike since May 2.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the third season of The Refocus Project, its multi-year project to elevate and restore marginalized plays to the American canon. As some events are limited in size, registration is strongly encouraged for these free events. Now in its tenth season of supporting emerging writers The Farm Theater has awarded their 2023/24 College Collaboration Project Commission to playwright Dipti Bramhandkar.

After closing its doors in 2020, iO Theater announces its return to the Chicago improv comedy stage. Starting Thursday, November 3, more than twenty different improv productions will once again be featured across the theater's stages, including favorites like “The Armando,” “Sex and the Windy City,” and “Stir Friday Night.”
