The Little Mermaid cast features many familiar faces for TUTS audiences. Delphi Borich will return to TUTS in the role of “Ariel.” Borich was previously seen on the TUTS stage as “Belle” in Disney's Beauty and the Beast during the musical theatre company's 50th Anniversary Season. Christina Wells, who was in previous TUTS productions of All Shook Up and Seussical, will play “Ursula.”
Based on the hit-film, Sister Act is a feel-good musical comedy that is bringing joy, song and laughter to the people of Houston. Sister Act tells the story of a nightclub singer (Deloris) who is forced to take refuge from the mob in a convent. The story brings brings audiences joy and laughter as Deloris turns the convent choir into a soulful chorus complete with a Motown repertoire. Patrons of Theatre Under the Stars are captivated as we watch Deloris maneuver through the the sudden celebrity of the choir jeopardizing her identity.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation announced today the creation of the Barbara Whitman Award, an unrestricted cash prize of $10,000 that will be presented annually to a female, trans or non-binary early-career director.
SDCF has announced that the Breakout Award will be awarded to Jenn Rose. The SDCF Awards, which will feature the presentation of the Breakout Award along with the previously announced Joe A. Callaway Awards, Gordon Davidson Award and Zelda Fichandler Award, will be hosted by Jack O’Brien virtually on February 8, 2021 at 8pm EST.
