GOTHAM JAZZ FEST NYC Returns This Sunday With An All-Star Lineup

Prohibition Productions and New York Hot Jazz Camp will once again co-present the GOTHAM JAZZ FESTIVAL, an annual all-day all ages music and dance festival featuring New York City's best classic jazz musicians at the stunning & exclusive private club from the Gilded-Age, The DTA.

Gotham Jazz Festival to Be Held This Month at The DTA

Prohibition Productions and New York Hot Jazz Camp have announced their partnership for the 5th annual GOTHAM JAZZ FESTIVAL to be held Sunday, April 16th (1pm to 12am) at The DTA on 60 Pine Street, in lower Manhattan. 

Cynthia Sayer Will Lead Her Hot Jazz Trio at Mezzrow Jazz Club

CYNTHIA SAYER, the internationally celebrated jazz banjoist, will lead her Hot Jazz Trio in a New York City appearance at Mezzrow Jazz Club on Thursday, December 26 with sets at 7:30 & 9:00 PM. Herb Gardner's GROUNDHOG JAM Announced At The Morris Museum

The great Groundhog Jam has a long history of prying jazz fans out of their warm burrows and into the chill of February weather in order to welcome the advent of spring.  The Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum continues a tradition of hosting this event on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 7:30 PM. Herb Gardner, who plays both trombone and piano, is assembling a stellar group of musicians from the New York, New Jersey, and New England areas including: Fred Vigorito on cornet, Joe Licari on clarinet, James Chirilloon guitar, Mike Weatherly on bass and Robbie Scott on drums.  Daughters Abbie and Sarah Gardner will be handling the vocals and guitar.

The McKittrick Hotel (530 West 27th Street, NYC), home of Sleep No More, and Hot Jazz Productions announce the sixth annual New York Hot Jazz Festival will return to the hotel on Sunday, September 30.

Famed Jazz Banjoist/Entertainer Brings Her Swingin' Sound to Birdland

CYNTHIA SAYER, the internationally celebrated jazz banjoist and vocalist, will lead her Joyride Quartet in The Hot Jazz Banjo Show in a rare New York City concert appearance at the legendary jazz club Birdland on Thursday, March 15 at 6:00 PM. Birdland is located at 315 W. 44th Street in Manhattan. Tickets: $30.

New Jersey's answer to the now gone performance space of Steinway Hall on 57th street is Forte Piano in Paramus N.J. Forte Piano is one of the foremost piano dealers in the nation and it's owner, Jazz/Classical pianist Vladimir Zaslavsky presented the Dixie Rascals Sextet in concert in Forte Piano's concert space at 159 W.Rt 4 last night.

Lineup for 7th Annual Bickford Benefit Concert Announced

The 7th Annual Bickford Benefit Concert featuring the Bickford Benefit All Stars comes to the Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum for one night only on Monday, November 13, at 7:30 PM. The all-star ensemble, comprised of some of the best hot jazz players in the country, includes clarinetist Dan Levinson, trumpeter Mike Davis, trombonist Jim Fryer, pianist Jeff Barnhart, bassist Brian Nalepka, drummer St phane S va, and guitarist/singer Molly Ryan. All of the ticket sales from this concert will go to support programming at the Bickford Theatre.

Jack Kleinsinger's Highlights In Jazz, New York's longest running jazz concert series, continues its record breaking 45th season at 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center Borough of Manhattan Community College, 199 Chambers Street, New York City, with a special Women In Jazz program featuring the festive multi-dimensional music of Cynthia Sayer and her Joyride Band with clarinetist Adrian Cunningham, the innovative vocal stylings of Rene Marie plus International Women in Jazz Youth in Action Award Winner pianist Leonieke Scheuble, and, as in all Highlights In Jazz concerts, a surprise special guest.
