FX has placed a 13-episode order for its next original drama series, American Horror Story, co-created by former Nip/Tuck executive producers and current Glee co-creators/executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, announced John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks. Today the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced additional presenters for the 2011 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards. Similar to last year, the awards will be presented by pairings of showrunners with talent from the shows they produce.

Zachary Quinto Signs on for AMERICAN HORROR STORY Series

According to the Hollywood Reporter, stage and screen star Zachary Quinto will star in Ryan Murphy's upcoming series, 'American Horror Story.' He'll star as 'Chad, a gay former owner of the haunted home where the Ben and Vivien Harmon (Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton) reside.'

Lily Rabe Joins Cast of FX's AMERICAN HORROR STORY

Lily Rabe has joined the cast of FX's drama 'American Horror Story, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Rabe will play a former resident of the haunted house the series takes place in.

2011 Emmy Nomination Submissions Revealed!

The nominations were released earlier this month for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards. Mad Men topped the list with 19 nominations, followed by Boardwalk Empire with 18, Modern Family with 17, Saturday Night Live with 16, Game of Thrones and 30 Rock with 13 and GLEE with 12. The Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), a new offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, today announced the winners of the Critics' Choice Television Awards, hosted by Cat Deeley and scheduled to take place at a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20, 2011.

First Critics' Choice TV Awards Nominations Announced; GLEE, Modern Family & More

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), a new offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, today announced nominations for the inaugural Critics' Choice Television Awards, hosted by Cat Deeley and scheduled to take place at a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20, 2011. ABC was the most nominated broadcast network with 16 nominations, followed closely by NBC with 12. AMC and FX led nominations for cable networks, with nine each. Modern Family was the most nominated series with six.

Jessica Lange Joins AMERICAN HORROR STORY Pilot

According to Deadline.com, Broadway veteran Jessica Lange has joined the cast of Ryan Murphy's new FX pilot 'American Horror Story.' Lange will star opposite previously announced Connie Britton and Denis O'Hare.
