Jim-E Stack returns to the fold with “Good Enough”, which premiered both via The FADER and via Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show as a 'World First' song. Released by Stack himself, “Good Enough,” featuring vocals from Ant Clemons (of Kanye West's “All Mine”), combines guitar riffs and undulating synths for a heavy effect. For the song, pop juggernaut Ariel Rechtshaid handles the twinkling keys, while Danielle Haim subtly rips the guitar. “Good Enough” is out everywhere now.

In Disney+'s “Lady and the Tramp,” a timeless re-telling of the 1955 animated classic, a pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray embark on an unexpected adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home. Life is good for Lady, an overachieving American Cocker Spaniel who resides in an upscale suburban neighborhood. Her owners, Jim Dear and Darling, spoil her daily and her neighbors, Jock, an outspoken Scottish Terrier and Trusty, a world-weary Bloodhound, are always within barking distance. But when a baby enters the picture, Lady is no longer the center of attention, and the arrival of cat-loving Aunt Sarah only complicates matters. Lady soon finds herself alone on the streets in an unwelcoming part of town. Fortunately, Tramp steps in, and the streetwise mongrel is quick to teach her the ways of the world. Before long, the prim and proper pure bred and the fast-talking mutt are partaking in moonlight strolls in the park and romantic spaghetti dinners by candlelight. Tramp savors the independence of a world without leashes or fences alongside his roguish friends Peg and Bull, but Lady misses the comfort and safety of a family, and soon both must decide where – and with whom – they belong.

Moana star Auli'i Cravalho is set to star in Netflix's feature drama Sorta Like A Rock Star', according to Deadline. The film will be directed by Brett Haley.

On September 6, 2019 singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jake Clemons will release his sophomore album, Eyes On The Horizon, produced by Jake Hull and Clemons and mixed by legendary and award winning producer Eddie Kramer ( Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, The Beatles etc.,) and distributed by BFD / The Orchard. Gina Torres has boarded romantic comedy THE HATING GAME, joining previously announced leads Lucy Hale and Robbie Amell. Peter Hutchings (THEN CAME YOU) will direct Christina Mengert's adaptation of the bestselling novel by Sally Thorne. The film is produced by Claude Dal Farra, Brice Dal Farra, and Brian Keady of BCDF Pictures. Shooting starts in August in New York. Mister Smith Entertainment is co-financing and will handle sales. 

Naveen Andrews has come on board to star in a film adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin's runaway bestseller THE STORIED LIFE OF A.J. FIKRY. Hans Canosa will direct from Zevin's adaptation of her own novel. Canosa, Zevin and Claude Dal Farra, Brice Dal Farra and Brian Keady of BCDF Pictures are producers.

The Tony Award-winning musical HAMILTON opened Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the Music Hall in Kansas City and continues through Sunday, July 7. The American Theater Guild presents the smash Broadway musical featuring rap, jazz, blues, traditional-style show tunes, and hip-hop. Does it deserve all the attention it has garnered? The majority of the theater-goers, especially younger ones, will enthusiastically answer yes. While others, including myself, while recognizing the superb quality of the production and of the talent, will answer no. At times the lyrics are hard to understand, making the plot somewhat hard to follow.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announces casting and creative teams for the summer season of new musicals and plays selected for development at the National Music Theater Conference and National Playwrights Conference.

Memphis has its eyes on Hamilton as the second national touring cast plays Orpheum Theatre July 9-28.
