GLAAD, the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, has revealed the nominees of the 37th GLAAD Media Awards. 

First reactions are in for Wicked: For Good, following early press screenings of the highly anticipated film. Viewers took to X and Instagram to share their thoughts, with many praising the performances, music, and adaptation choices.

Multi-hyphenate Julianne Hough and television personality Jesse Palmer will host “The Oscars® Red Carpet Show,” the official lead-in to the 97th Oscars on Sunday, March 2, airing at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT on ABC.

ABC News has announced special coverage of the 97th Oscars, including a primetime special, “Countdown to the Oscars with Robin Roberts: A Special Edition of 20/20,” to air Friday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. EST/PST on ABC, and stream the next day on Hulu.

Actor and entrepreneur Vanessa Hudgens and multihyphenate Julianne Hough will host “The Oscars® Red Carpet Show,” the official lead-in to the 96th Oscars on Sunday, March 10, airing at 6:30 p.m. EDT/3:30 p.m. PDT on ABC. This marks Julianne Hough’s inaugural year and Hudgens’ third consecutive year hosting the official pre-show.

ABC News will celebrate the 96th Oscars with special programming, including the live pre-show “Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!” on Sunday. Leading up to Hollywood's biggest night, “Good Morning America” will conduct interviews with Jimmy Kimmel, who will host the show, and Wolfgang Puck, who sets the menu for the Governors Ball.

ABC News Live Prime anchor and “World News Tonight” weekend anchor Linsey Davis and “Good Morning America” weekend co-anchor and “World News Tonight” weekend anchor Whit Johnson will host the red-carpet special at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, featuring interviews with Oscar nominees and previewing the big night.

This marks Hudgens’ second consecutive year hosting the official pre-show. Content creator Reece Feldman will be a backstage correspondent, and Rocsi Diaz will be the correspondent for the Academy’s member viewing party in New York. The 90-minute special will highlight Oscar nominees, performers and presenters.

The special will feature special interviews with Oscars hosts and nominees, including Billie Eilish and Finneas, Penélope Cruz, Jessica Chastain and Questlove; award winner predictions; highlights of the nominees’ past performances; a look at whether special effects are the key to Oscars success and more.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rita Moreno, Olga Merediz, Gloria Estefan and more will be honored by Critics Choice at the 2021 Celebration of Latino Cinema!

Today, the Nederlander Organization and Hollywood Pantages Theatre announced the nominees for THE 7TH ANNUAL JERRY HERMAN AWARDS, a celebration of the achievement and excellence in high school musical theatre in Los Angeles.

Led by Director/Musical Director/Costume Designer Anne Gesling, along with Choreographer Lauren Blair, the Y.E.S. musical production for November/December 2017 was A WINTER'S TALE, and I can tell you these two talented women worked miracles with a cast of 39 young performers already at the triple-threat status. As a former secondary teacher, I can honestly say that I have never seen such a talented group of young performers work together as the members of this group do, with not one of them breaking the fourth wall or character, all the while keeping their accents authentic with their harmonious singing always in tune and dancing perfectly in step and always presented with enthusiastic joy.

Surely most theatre folks have seen productions of the fabulous musical THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical, making the show the 2002 season's most awarded new show on Broadway, based on the original story and screenplay by Richard Morris for the 1967 Universal Pictures film directed by George Roy Hill and starring Julie Andrews. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, the current production directed by Anne Gesling for the Y.E.S. Youth/Teen Program at Santa Monica's Morgan-Wixson Theatre is just as good as many adult production I have seen, given the cast's talent, Gesling's spot-on fast-paced direction and fabulous 1920's costuming, Daniel Koh's musical direction creating wonderful cast harmonies, and creative choreography by Lauren Blair.
