Over the past month, Broadway fans have had plenty of reasons to celebrate, as show after show has announced their own plans to resume performances in the coming months. While most Broadway productions have shared news about their return, some have yet to confirm their next steps.

Michael Ritchie announced that he will retire as Artistic Director of Center Theatre Group on December 31, 2021. Having taken over the position from Founding Artistic Director Gordon Davidson in January, 2005, for more than 16 years, Ritchie has led one of the country’s largest nonprofit regional theatres, producing and presenting 266 productions.

Like theatre, film and television have the power to transport viewers into an alternate universe and take them on a beautiful journey, either ending in success, heartbreak, victory, or despair. No matter the genre, the world that exists within the screen is something truly spectacular and mesmerizing. While of course I love seeing original work in the theatre community, I am also occasionally a sucker for a good adaptation. I adore seeing some of my favorite pieces of art turned into a full-blown musical or play.

Project Mercury, an audio play anthology series from NYC’s Off Broadway Chatillion Stage Company, presents the world premiere of Deception, a new psychological thriller.  The play features an all-star cast headed by Jason O’Connell.
