It has been confirmed that Kyle Birch will take over as Usher in A Strange Loop in London! Also joining the cast as the Usher understudy is Christopher Michael Richardson. The casting was confirmed in a post on the show's social media accounts.

This evening, the 2023 Helen Hayes Awards took place at The Anthem on the District Wharf, with over 1,600 theatre-makers and theatre supporters in attendance. Esteemed Washington theatre artists Naomi Jacobson, Erika Rose, Holly Twyford, and Christopher Michael Richardson hosted an evening showcasing the vibrant and diverse community of professional theatre artists in the Washington region.

Signature Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for the musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler.

What did our critic think of THE MORTIFICATION OF FOVEA MUNSON at Kennedy Center? The Mortification of Fovea Munson is a fast-paced, TYA musical based on the novel of the same name, both penned by Mary Winn Heider. The story follows Fovea, a middle schooler who just wants to find her place in the world despite her parents' owning a cadaver lab. Suddenly, when Whitney, the cadaver lab's receptionist, runs off with her boyfriend to Florida, Fovea finds herself stuck working at the cadaver lab all summer. She finds it insufferable... until three disembodied heads need to ask her for a huge favor.

Today’s subject Justin Huertas is currently living his theatre life as the composer/lyricist of Kennedy Center’s World Premiere Commission Musical The Mortification of Fovea Munson. The show begins performances March fourth and plays through the nineteenth in Kennedy Center’s Family Theater.
