Mailboat Records and Escape to Margaritaville producers Frank Marshall, Mindy Rich, Anita Waxman, and Beth Williams announced today that the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Escape to Margaritaville, the new musical featuring the songs of iconic singer-songwriter-author Jimmy Buffett, will be released next spring.

La Jolla Playhouse announces three world premieres and one west coast premiere for its 2018/2019 season, including: The Squirrels, by Tony Award nominee Robert Askins (Broadway's Hand to God), directed by Playhouse Artistic Director and 2017 Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley; Seize the King, by Will Power (Playhouse's The Seven), directed by Playhouse Associate Artistic Director Jaime Casta eda; The Year to Come, by Lindsey Ferrentino (Ugly Lies the Bone) and queens, by Martyna Majok (Ironbound).

Memphis' original Broadway cast members Tony nominee Chad Kimball (Come From Away), Cass Morgan (The Bridges of Madison County), and J. Bernard Calloway (All The Way) have joined 54 SINGS MEMPHIS, a one night only concert at Feinstein's/54 Below on Sunday, February 4th, at 7:00pm and 9:30pm.

La Jolla Playhouse presents the world-premiere production of SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical, featuring book by Colman Domingo, Robert Cary and Playhouse Director Emeritus Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys, The Who's Tommy); directed by Des McAnuff; choreographed by Olivier Award winner Sergio Trujillo (Memphis, Jersey Boys), with musical supervision by Ron Melrose.

Last night at Broadway's COME FROM AWAY, American Airlines reunited the six American Airlines, TWA and US Airways crews who were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland on 9/11 and experienced the true stories brought to life in the musical, including Captain Beverley Bass (the first female Captain at American, who is depicted in the show), pilots and crews of these flights and AA's CEO & Chairman Doug Parker as well as the AA Vice Presidents of Flight Service and Flight. The Old Globe today announced the additional productions in its 2018 Summer Season, including the classic Neil Simon comedy Barefoot in the Park directed by Jessica Stone (Ken Ludwig's Robin Hood!, Arms and the Man, and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike at the Globe), which will run July 28 - August 26, 2018. The Summer Shakespeare Festival lineup will include The Tempest, running June 17 - July 22, 2018, and Much Ado About Nothing, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (the Globe's Love's Labor's Lost), running August 12 - September 16.
