Variety reports that Amazon will produce a Watergate-era drama with Chris Pine attached to star. He will play Nixon lawyer John Dean, who was billed by the press as a 'connoisseur of cover-ups.' Dean will executive produce himself.
Variety and PBS SoCal announced today the actor lineup and schedule for the tenth season of their EMMY®Award-winning Variety Studio: Actors on Actors. The new season will include exclusive one-on-one conversations between top acting talent from this year's most notable television shows who are expected to contend this Emmy season. The first two episodes will premiere on PBS SoCal on Tuesday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. and episodes three and four will premiere on Thursday, June 20 at 7:00 p.m. All episodes will stream on pbssocal.organd on the free PBS Video app following their premieres.

The cast included Jennifer Kim (Mozart in the Jungle), Will Greenberg (Wrecked), Chris Candy, Samantha Ressler (This is the End), Nathalie Love (20th Century Woman), Kevin Phillips (Notorious) & Grant Harrison. Musical guests HAIM, Miya Folick and Jessica Tonder performed over the weekend, HAIM performing on opening night. 100 of the tickets per show were allocated to Planned Parenthood Peer Advocate Students as well as other students groups like Meet Bridget & IDSA.
Octane Entertainment has sold the action-packed, stick 'em up, whodunit caper Carter & June, from the producer of the cult hit Napoleon Dynamite, to Showtime Networks it was announced today by company president Jack Campbell. Showtime will offer the film On Demand February 1st, 2019 and air as part of premium programming February 7. The film played theatrically in New York, California and Texas in Summer 2018.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced today that Golden Globe winner and four-time nominee Jeff Bridges will be honored with the 2019 Cecil B. deMille Award at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 6, 2019.
