Today, it was announced that the North American Tour of the acclaimed Girl From The North Country, nominated for 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical, will have its technical rehearsals and tour premiere at Hennepin Theatre Trust's historic Orpheum Theatre in the Fall of 2023. 

Girl From the North Country has officially set its Broadway return dates! The musical, which temporarily closed on January 23 with the promise of returning this spring, will return for a limited engagement, April 29-June 11 at the Belasco Theatre.

Today, January 23, Broadway says goodbye to two beloved productions. Slave Play will conclude its limited run at the August Wilson Theatre following 9 previews and 58 regular performances; and Girl from the North Country pauses performances at the Belasco Theatre following 31 previews and 117 regular performances.

Today, it was announced that the acclaimed Broadway musical Girl from the North Country will play its final performance at The Belasco Theatre on January 23, 2022, following 31 previews and 117 regular performances.

The Broadway cast of Girl From The North Country recently celebrated their 2022 Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album and the holiday season with 1067LiteFM's Christine Nagy. The cast got together to spread some holiday cheer with an outdoor performance of 'Winter Wonderland.'

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Girl From the North Country was among the nominees for the 2022 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album.

The Girl From the North Country has released a new video featuring members of the cast discussing the importance of Thanksgiving.

The Acting Company has announced a staged concert reading of award-winning playwright  Marcus Gardley's A Wolf in Snakeskin Shoes: Or The Gospel of Tartuffe on Monday, November  8th at 7:00pm at Florence Gould Hall (55 East 59th Street). Gardley returns to The Acting Company  after his critically acclaimed play X: or, Betty Shabazz v. The Nation had an extended run off  Broadway in 2017.

The cast of Girl From The North Country appeared on Good Morning America this morning to perform a medley of Bob Dylan classics, including 'Hurricane', 'License to Kill', and 'Slow Train'.

Girl From The North Country is pressing on with Broadway performances! The new show by  playwright Conor McPherson just reopened at the Belasco Theatre, where the company celebrated with a special jam session outside of the theatre. Colin Bates will be joining the cast in the role of Gene Laine. Additionally, Alex Joseph Grayson, Housso Semon, Edward Staudenmayer, and Anastasia Talley will be joining the company as swings.

Late last month several member of the cast, crew, and musicians of Girl From The North Country gathered at Mare Winningham’s barn for a day of picture perfect summer fun. This is the first time a lot of the cast had seen each other in 18 months.

The eagerly-awaited Girl From The North Country - Original Broadway Cast Recording, is now available for purchase and stream. The album was released by Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.

Conor McPherson reimagines the songs of the legendary Bob Dylan in Girl From The North Country - the new musical about the dreams we keep close, the people we hold dear, and the place we call home.
