Marking the halfway point in its commitment to present all 10 plays of August Wilson's American Century Cycle, Two River Theater's critically-acclaimed production of Wilson's drama King Hedley II, directed by Brandon J. Two River Theater (TRT) is now presenting a stunning production of August Wilson's drama, King Hedley II through December 16. The show is expertly directed by the renowned actor and director, Brandon J. Dirden and features a cast that is ideal in their roles.

Marking the halfway point in its commitment to present all 10 plays of August Wilson's American Century Cycle, Two River Theater announces the complete cast and creative team for its production of Wilson's "exhilarating" (The New York Times) and incendiary drama King Hedley II, directed by Brandon J. Dirden. For the first time, the theater will be presenting one of Wilson's plays in its intimate 110-seat Marion Huber Theater, with performances beginning on November 10 and continuing for an extended five-week run through Sunday, December 16. The opening night performance is Today, November 16 at 7pm. Tickets are available from 732.345.1400 or tworivertheater.org. For the second night in a row, the cast of LITTLE ROCK were paid a visit by a special guest. Last night (September 5) GINA BELAFONTE, actress/producer (BLACKKKLANSMEN) and daughter of actor and civil rights activist HARRY BELAFONTE took in the show and met with the cast after the performance. The "Little Rock Nine" made history when on the first day of school, September 4, 1957, they were barred from attending Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock, AR.  Sixty one years later (September 4, 2018), former Governor and First Lady of Arkansas - President Clinton and Secretary Clinton - attended a performance of "Little Rock."

The Off-Broadway play LITTLE ROCK hosted a special guest at last night's performance. Chelsea Clinton attended with three friends, two of whom attended Little Rock Central High School, the same school where the 'Little Rock Nine' were integrated in 1957. She led the standing ovation at the end of the show and greeted the cast and crew on stage following the performance.  LITTLE ROCK continues performances through September 8.

 Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and Arkansas First Lady Susan Hutchinson were greeted by the cast of the Off-Broadwayplay Little Rock, written and directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj, at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street).  Little Rock is presented by Rebel Theatrical Management, LLC (Harvey Butler, producer), The Steward Family, The Steward Family Foundation, in association with The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture.  Performances began June 8, 2018 followed by opening night on June 14, 2018 for a limited engagement through September 8, 2018.

The Community Chest, a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization helping people in need in eastern Bergen County, launched its first 85th anniversary event -- an art exhibition, Stills From Life -- with an opening reception held on February 8 at the Bergen Performing Arts Center's (bergenPAC) Sandy Bennett Art Gallery in Englewood, New Jersey.
