The San Diego Symphony has announced the lineup for its popular Bayside Summer Nights, packing the summer full of amazing screenings of the most classic films, some of the most beloved names in rock and a world premiere. At the heart of every Bayside Summer Nights season is the incredible San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
On Today, February 16, the Jazz Masters Series of Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will feature internationally known vibraphonist Christos Rafalides and his group, the Manhattan Vibes. Rafalides has appeared at such venues as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall and has been featured with numerous notable artists including Wynton Marsalis and Chaka Khan. In 2002, a Manhattan Vibes CD was named one of the year's top ten jazz recordings by Jazz Times.

Singer/songwriter and five-time Grammy Award winner Michael McDonald is set to hit the road this summer for a co-headlining U.S. tour with R&B legend Chaka Khan. Tour highlights include performances at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and Chicago's Ravinia Festival. 'Bring it On' meets 'Dreamgirls' in the girl-group musical, 'Betty and the Belrays' by William Electric Black aka Ian Ellis James, which will be presented by Theater for the New City January 31 to February 17. The piece tells the story of three white female singers from Detroit who struggle to change a racially divided society by singing for a black record label. Book and lyrics are by William Electric Black. Music is by Black, Valerie Ghent (arranger/keyboards for Ashford & Simpson) and Gary Schreiner. Choreography is by Jeremy Lardieri. Director is Mr. Black.

Ticotin has been called "a Force of Nature" in On Your Feet, and that will be on display when she debuts this evening of songs from Chaka Khan, Laura Nyro, Gloria Estefan, Edith Piaf, Barbra Streisand, Brazilian sambas and more, in addition to some unexpected musical surprises. The eclectic show is directed by Mark Waldrop, and features Spiros Exaras on guitar, George Casas from Miami Sound Machine on bass, Victor Pablo from On Your Feet on percussion, and Clay Otswald from Miami Sound Machine on piano.
