The 2017 recipient of the BroadwayWorld Cabaret Award for Best Female Vocalist, Celia Berk is reuniting with fellow BroadwayWorld Winners Musical Director Alex Rybeck and Director Jeff Harnar for this show. Celia has released two critically acclaimed albums, garnered awards for her two solo cabaret shows at the Metropolitan Room, and made memorable appearances at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center and The Town Hall. The results are in for the sixth annual BroadwayWorld New York Cabaret Awards! BroadwayWorld would like to extend congratulations to all of this year's winners and nominees in the 15 categories.
Voting will run through December 31, 2017. Additionally, five Editor's Choice Awards recipients, including Cabaret Personality of the Year, will be announced after voting has completed. Following a review of the ballots, winners will be announced officially in January 2018!

This past March, at 2017's MAC Awards, honoring the best of cabaret in New York over the past season, as in most years, there were five nominees for Female Vocalist: Celia Berk, Sally Darling, Meg Flather, Josephine Sanges, and Lisa Viggiano. It's not particularly important, in this case, who won. (Flather did.) If their shared story met the usual expectations, it would've ended there and each nominee would've gone on her own way to do her next big thing. You'll be happy to hear their story defies those expectations.

Proceeds from their upcoming November show will benefit The Meatloaf Kitchen (founded by University Community Social Services) serving dinners to hungry New Yorkers every Saturday since 1982. Efforts to support to a soup kitchen during the season of thanks felt so right to the TOGETHER team.
