Nathan Ellis' play Super High Resolution is rehearsing in London ahead of its World Premiere on 2 November. Directed by Blanche McIntyre, the cast is Jasmine Blackborow, Catherine Cusack, Hayley Carmichael, Lj Johnson, Lewis Shepherd and Leah Whitaker. Check out photos here!

Blanche McIntyre directs Nathan Ellis' Verity Bargate Award shortlisted Super High Resolution – a fast paced, darkly funny play about being a doctor in the NHS and the limits of anyone's ability to care for other people.

A new production of Bold Girls by Rona Munro will open on 24th September in Cumbernauld. The play is being produced in-house at Cumbernauld Theatre Trust's new home at Lanternhouse, a state-of-the-art performing arts centre based at Cumbernauld Community Campus.

Director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Sam Hodges today announces the full cast for his production of Howard Brenton's The Shadow Factory which returns to celebrate NST City's first anniversary after opening the space with a sell-out run last year. The cast includes Denise Black (Lady Cooper/Ma Dimmock), Bethan Cullinane (Jackie Dimmock), Joe Tracini (Len Gooch) and Michael Fenton Stevens (Lord Beaverbrook) joining returning cast members David Birrell (Fred Dimmock/Hugh Downing), Catherine Cusack (Lil Dimmock/Sylvia Meinster) and Shala Nyx (Polly Stride). The production opens on 1 February, with previews from 30 January, and runs until 2 March.

Storyhouse has announced the cast for its new in-house company who will perform in rep, five productions at Chester's multi award-winning theatre cinema and library and outdoors at Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre.

Veteran of stage and screen Anita Dobson joins the cast as Lady Cooper/Ma (Wicked, Apollo Victoria Theatre; The Merry Wives of Windsor, RSC; Frozen, National Theatre) along with Shala Nyx who plays Polly. Dobson, known for playing the iconic role of Angie Watts in EastEnders, and Nyx join David Birrell (Fred/Hugh), Catherine Cusack (Lil/Sylvia), Lorna Fitzgerald (Jackie Dimmock), Hilton McRae (Lord Beaverbrook) and Daniel York (Len Gooch) to complete the company. The Shadow Factory opens on 15 February, with previews from 7 February, and runs until 3 March.

Judith: A Parting From The Body by internationally-renowned playwright Howard Barker returns to the stage for a UK tour this autumn, telling the apocryphal story that has fascinated artists for centuries.  Barker, lauded by The Times as 'England's greatest living dramatist', pulls back the dusty sheets of Holofernes' tent in this radical re-telling revealing what really happened in this mystic tale.

Press night is Friday 27 November, 8pm. The title role of Judith will be played by Coronation Street actress Catherine Cusack.
