This Thursday, SWAP premieres it's performance of The Dolly Parton Songbook on YouTube! We take a look at some of the 75 year old artist's massive catalog dating back to the mid-60s. 17+ musicians of various identities and expressions bring intentionally new interpretations to some of Dolly's hits, B-sides, and forgotten gems.

At 83, the Second City founding member, Tony-award winning performer, and Oscar-nominated actor Barbara Harris passed away on August 21st of this year. Under the direction of Alex Beck (Disney's The Happiest Millionaire 50th Anniversary) and the music direction of Andy Roninson (Take a Ten Podcast), The Green Room 42  presented an evening of song and remembrance with 'Gorgeous: A Barbara Harris Tribute' on October 2nd.

She was a founding member of Chicago's Second City, a treasured Tony Award winning performer, and a sought-after Oscar-nominated film actor who often evaded the limelight in favor of 'the work.' At 83, the legendary Barbara Harris passed away on August 21st of this year. Farmers Alley Theatre is closing its historic 10th anniversary season with the biggest musical production ever, Mel Brooks' record-setting 12 Time Tony Award Winning comedic masterpiece, THE PRODUCERS. Running July 20th to August 5th at the Little Theatre on Oakland Drive, this pitch-perfect adaptation of Brooks' classic film of the same name will star Stephen Wallem (TV's Nurse Jackie) and Tony Humrichouser (WMU Alum, Jeff Award Winner) as the lovable duo of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, who attempt to produce the worst show in Broadway history!

Monday, April 9th marked the first edition of the SWAP (Songs With Another Perspective) Cabaret, produced and directed by Alex Beck. Twenty-two artists sang gender-swapped songs from 100 years of the musical theatre cannon.

SWAP (Songs With Another Perspective), the newest gender-swapping cabaret, holds up a quirky magnifying glass to some of the more stereotypical, problematic, and oddly curious gender moments in the American musical theatre cannon.

Friday, March 28th, 2014 Damn The Light Promotions (a nightlife based production and promotion company founded by Mike Greco and MaryAnne Piccolo) returns to Duane Park (right across from the site of the original CBGB) for a one night only tribute to the legendary rock band Blondie.
