When Rock n' Roll burst onto the scene in the late 1950s, it brought with it a veritable revolution in American popular music. Seen by some as 'the Devil's music,' by others as a passing fad, this vibrant, electric sound proved itself a lasting phenomenon. So perhaps it is fitting that more than sixty years later a musical celebrating four of the greatest legends of early rock should open Maine State Music Theatre's 60th anniversary season. And what an opening this is! Million Dollar Quartet explodes onto the Pickard stage with the energy of a mega concert and the intensity of a high-stakes drama. It is a tale that is at once about the music itself and the men who made it, about dreams and determination, about stumbling and success. In a dazzling production directed by Hunter Foster, MSMT scores the perfect kickoff to its own milestone season.

Broadway By the Bay continues their 2018 season with the rockin' Broadway smash, Million Dollar Quartet. In December 1956, in a small Memphis recording studio, four icons of music met-and had a jam-session that changed rock-n-roll forever. Broadway By the Bay invites music lovers of all ages to take their seats at the historic Fox Theater in downtown Redwood City as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins take to the stage for this story of a singular moment in rock-n-roll history, and a night of legendary music that lived on in infamy. As last season's closer, Geva Theatre Center's production of Million Dollar Quartet was a complete sell-out and was extended for an additional week. By popular demand, the show is back for a limited run, special production in the Elaine P. Wilson Stage from June 14 to July 8. With a book by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott, based on an original concept by Floyd Mutrux and inspired by the music of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins, Million Dollar Quartet is directed by Hunter Foster.

A classic tap-happy musical and a new production of a legendary Broadway comedy are highlights of Bucks County Playhouse's 2018 Season. Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alexander Fraser and Producers Stephen Kocis and Josh Fiedler announced details of the season, which will kick off at the historic Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania on May 19.

American Blues Theater announces encore performance run of BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story, written by Alan Janes, directed by Lili-Anne Brown, with musical direction by Ensemble Member Michael Mahler. BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story will close as planned on May 26, 2018 and reopen June 29 - September 15, 2018 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Tickets will be on sale for the encore run on May 15, 2018.

Graceland has announced that five time GRAMMY Award winning country superstar and Grand Ole Opry member Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives will bring his eclectic blend of rockabilly, honky-tonk, and traditional country music to The Guest House at GracelandTM Theater on June 9 for an electrifying, one-night only, concert performance at 8 p.m. Opening for Stuart will be the London-based, country-folk-pop quartet The Wandering Hearts whose deft fingerpicking, rousing choruses, dark-hued lyrics, and sweet, close vocal harmonies have drawn comparisons to Fleetwood Mac and accolades from fellow musicians including Stuart. The show will also feature legendary Sun Records drummer, W.S. Holland.

Set to open Sept. 21 and run to May 5 in the Historic Arcade Theatre and ArtStage Studio Theatre, the nine-show season includes two musicals, multiple comedies, a modern American classic, a southeastern United States premiere, and a world-premiere adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."
