The Poway Center for the Performing Arts welcomes the reliably irreverent Capitol Steps, Washington DC's political satirists extraordinaire, for an 8 p.m. performance on Friday, May 3, 2019. The McCallum Theatre announced today its new lineup for the 2019-2020 season, continuing to present the finest world-class artists and entertainers for Coachella Valley audiences.  The new season includes McCallum debuts, returning favorites, iconic superstars, family-friendly entertainment and holiday cheer, among so much more. A CHRISTMAS STORY, WAITRESS and THE PLAY THAT GOES WORING are among the many Broadway offerings in what looks to be the most stellar season in McCallum history.

Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts presents the political satire comedy troupe Capitol Steps in Make America Grin Again on Saturday, April 6 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices range between $40 - $70, plus applicable fees.

Producer Eric Krebs, in association with Harriet Spalding & Michael Planit, will present developmental lab presentations of I Spy A Spy, a new (declassified) musical comedy, with book and lyrics by Jamie Jackson and music & lyrics by SoHee Youn

The Capitol Congressional staffers turned comedians,  famed comedy troupe composed ofSteps, will perform Make America Grin Again at the Montalvo Arts Center. Called 'an oasis of good-natured ribbing in a fiercely partisan world' by The Washington Post, the Capitol Steps have slayed the country with their hilarious send-up of the people and institutions that once employed them. Their sketch and improvisational comedy offers a mix of song and standup, lampooning modern political leaders, and tackling major current issues. What better way to celebrate Presidents Day weekend than with political satire at its best.  The Capitol Steps will visit the Axelrod Performing Arts Center February 16 at 8:00 PM to celebrate American political theater.

The Capitol Steps bring their bipartisan brand of political humor to Popejoy Hall on Sunday, February 10 at 3 p.m. In "Make American Grin Again," this institutional comic troupe grabs material fresh from the headlines for skits and song parodies that poke fun at Democrats and Republicans alike.

Back by popular demand, the Capitol Steps return to the McCallum Theatre for two performances on Sunday, January 13, at 3:00pm and 7:00pm. The only group in America that attempts to be funnier than Congress, Capitol Steps is a troupe of current and former congressional staffers who monitor events and personalities on Capitol Hill, in the Oval Office, and in other centers of power and prestige around the world and then take a humorous look at serious issues while providing a nationwide laugh for millions.

The Capitol Steps return to Mayo Performing Arts Center to offer their comedic take on all things political on Friday, January 11 at 8 pm. Tickets are $29-$59.

The Capitol Steps, the political musical satire group that has been putting the "mock" in democracy since 1981, will be taping their semi-annual public radio special, Politics Takes A Holiday, before a live audience on Friday and Saturday, December 14-15,  at 7:30PM, at the Amphitheater of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, DC.

Putting the MOCK in Democracy, the Van Wezel is proud to present The Capitol Steps in Orange is the New Barack on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 8 p.m. The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. Together, the performers have worked in a total of eighteen Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience.

At the Carolina Theatre in Durham Sunday night, Randy Rainbow got a standing ovation before he even sang one note. In fact, one woman in the audience stood up and called him a national treasure, a beacon of frivolity amidst precarious times. Rainbow's show was interlaced with clips of his viral videos, stories, and live performances of his most popular parodies, including 'Desperate Cheeto,' 'Yes! We Have No Steve Bannon!,'  'Alternative Facts,' and 'Rudy and the Beast.' Rainbow credits his grandmother with 'planting the comedy seed.' He told the audience during the question/answer period that she was hilarious and both she and his mother encouraged him to always be himself. And it seems to be working for him. His last video, 'Kavanaugh' (to the show tune 'Camelot') has almost 400-thousand views and counting.
