The producers of TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL have announced that the role of Ike Turner will be played by Australian triple threat and multi-platinum selling performer, Tim Omaji, when the award-winning smash hit musical premieres at Theatre Royal Sydney this May.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Bad Cinderella has just released the exclusive first image of leading-lady, Linedy Genao, as ‘Cinderella’ in the highly anticipated new musical ahead of tonight’s sold-out first preview. 

An all new single “I Know I Have A Heart (Because You Broke It)” has been released from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Bad Cinderella. The song is performed by Linedy Genao, who plays the titular role on Broadway.

From shows such as “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations,” “Jagged Little Pill,” “Moulin Rouge,” “Girl from the North Country,” and more recently “& Juliet,” “MJ the Musical,” all tell a story surrounded by a book of songs exploring the discography/career of musicians such as Alanis Morissette, The Temptations, Michael Jackson, and Bob Dylan to name a few.

The Metropolitan Opera's recent production of The Hours, starring Renée Fleming, Kelli O'Hara, and Joyce DiDonato, will air on PBS. Phelim McDermott directs with Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducting. Christine Baranski will host the special.

TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL will go on sale Friday, January 20 for 24 performances from April 25 to May 14 as part of the 2022-2023 KeyBank Broadway Series at Playhouse Square.

Tina - The Tina Turner Musical follows the life and career of legendary recording artist Tina Turner. The story begins with her upbringing in Nutbush, Tennessee, continues with her tumultuous relationship with Ike Turner, and ends with her transformation into the global queen of rock 'n' roll. In case anyone's wondering, this is a different dramatization from the 1993 Academy Award nominated biographical film, What's Love Got to Do With It.

The English National Opera's (ENO) spring season opens this February with the return of Calixto Bieito's fiery Carmen to the London Coliseum. Its third revival since it was first staged in 2012, this is one of the most popular operas ever written, featuring Bizet's instantly recognisable searing score. 

BBC Opera on 3 will stream the opening night performance of Kevin Puts's THE HOURS starring Renée Fleming, Kelli O'Hara & Joyce DiDonato at The Metropolitan Opera for 29 days beginning yesterday, December 10th.

TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL will play limited engagements at two venues in the San Francisco Bay Area—August 1–27, 2022 San Francisco’s Golden Gate Theatre, as part of BroadwaySF’s 2022/23 season and August 29–September 3, 2023 at San Jose’s Center for the Performing Arts, as part of Broadway San Jose’s 2022/23 season.

Hennepin Theatre Trust has announced that TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL will make its Minnesota debut for 16 performances from Wednesday, March 1 to Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave.) as part of the 2022-2023 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin season.
