LOCKN' has announced an extraordinary initial lineup for the upcoming special edition of the beloved camping festival. Yesterday, the New York-based singer, songwriter and acclaimed pianist Jon Regen premiered his new song 'East Side Blues' on BBC Radio 2's The Jazz Show with Jamie Cullum. Last Thursday, July 18, country and bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs celebrated his 65th birthday, marking 60 years since he struck his first chords on the mandolin. At a concert stop in Stephenville, Texas, Skaggs' good friend and Texstar Ford Summer Concert Series sponsor Doug Montgomery made sure to host the celebration appropriately by surprising him with a guitar-shaped birthday cake.

Ben Sparaco and The New Effect, the Nashville-based indie-rock trio fronted by songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Ben Sparaco, have announced their new single, 'Living On My Own,' will arrive on Friday, July 26. The new song will be on their forthcoming full-length album expected late 2019/early 2020 (exact date and details to be announced soon). The run of dates includes additional stops in Denver, Charlotte,Asheville, Charlottesville and Atlanta that will feature a collaborative performance with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra conducted by Music's Rob Moose.

In 2015, Jon Bryant joined a cult.  His short-lived time in and subsequent separation from NVXIM would inspire the concept behind the carefully crafted album Cult Classic (out now via Nettwerk). After reclaiming independence, Bryant penned tunes everywhere from Nova Scotia and Vancouver to Seattle, Los Angeles and Australia.

Compagnia de' Colombari, an international collective of performing artists founded and directed by Karin Coonrod, presents More Or Less I Am: a music-theater piece drawn entirely from Walt Whitman's revolutionary free verse long poem, 'Song of Myself,'one of the original twelve pieces that comprise his 1855 collection Leaves of Grass. The next performance in this series, spanning multiple venues throughout the five boroughs, will take place on Sunday, May 26, 2019, 7:30 pm at Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn.
