Alternative mainstay Mayday Parade will celebrate the 10 Year Anniversary of their sophomore album Anywhere But Here with a select run of headlining shows performing the album in its entirety this November! They'll start with a hometown performance in Tallahassee, FL (11/3) followed by dates in Sayreville, NJ (11/9), Boston, MA (11/13), Chicago, IL (11/16) and Los Angeles, CA (11/22). The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO), under the direction of Music Director Louis Langrée, and the Cincinnati Pops, under the direction of Pops Conductor John Morris Russell, are preparing for the 2019-20 season with sales of single tickets to all upcoming performances. Previously only available in subscription bundles, tickets are now being released for single purchase, group sales, and more. 

Last Thursday, July 18, country and bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs celebrated his 65th birthday, marking 60 years since he struck his first chords on the mandolin. At a concert stop in Stephenville, Texas, Skaggs' good friend and Texstar Ford Summer Concert Series sponsor Doug Montgomery made sure to host the celebration appropriately by surprising him with a guitar-shaped birthday cake.

Ben Sparaco and The New Effect, the Nashville-based indie-rock trio fronted by songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Ben Sparaco, have announced their new single, 'Living On My Own,' will arrive on Friday, July 26. The new song will be on their forthcoming full-length album expected late 2019/early 2020 (exact date and details to be announced soon). Sparaco exits the flowing 'Living On My Own' with a Jerry Garcia-laced guitar solo; keeping one foot in his jam roots while the other is pushing his sound and songcraft into new territories. Following the release of his incredible new album Absolute Zero, Grammy award winning pianist, singer and songwriter Bruce Hornsby today announced he will return to the UK on November 3rd , 2019 at Shepherd's Bush Empire  for a special intimate, solo-piano performance.

Pianist, singer and songwriter Bruce Hornsby's summer tour kicks off tomorrow, June 18 inCharleston, SC. The run of dates includes additional stops in Denver, Charlotte,Asheville, Charlottesville and Atlanta that will feature a collaborative performance with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra conducted by Music's Rob Moose.

In 2015, Jon Bryant joined a cult.  His short-lived time in and subsequent separation from NVXIM would inspire the concept behind the carefully crafted album Cult Classic (out now via Nettwerk). After reclaiming independence, Bryant penned tunes everywhere from Nova Scotia and Vancouver to Seattle, Los Angeles and Australia.

Compagnia de' Colombari, an international collective of performing artists founded and directed by Karin Coonrod, presents More Or Less I Am: a music-theater piece drawn entirely from Walt Whitman's revolutionary free verse long poem, 'Song of Myself,'one of the original twelve pieces that comprise his 1855 collection Leaves of Grass. The next performance in this series, spanning multiple venues throughout the five boroughs, will take place on Sunday, May 26, 2019, 7:30 pm at Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn.

Alice Howe, the rising voice of modern folk in the United States, is set to release her debut LP, Visions on May 17th. Produced by iconic fretless bassist, Freebo (Bonnie Raitt, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Loudon Wainwright III, Maria Muldaur, Dr. John), the duo will perform on May 18th at McCabe's in Santa Monica, CA in celebration of the album's release. Ahead of Visions' official debut, the song “You Just Never Know,” premiered on The Bluegrass Situation.  Visions took Howe from her native Boston to Bakersfield, CA where it was recorded with a who's who of west coast musicians.
