THE LAND OF FORGOTTEN TOYS a?" developed by Chicago-based non-profit company CPA Theatricals and produced in collaboration with Greenhouse Theater Center a?" is a completely original 90-minute musical about a brilliant young woman just out of high school and her quest to save Christmas.

The 1993 AIDS-themed musical ALL THAT HE WAS that opened on August 12, earning rave reviews and a Jeff recommendation, will extend its run by one week and will now close on Sunday, September 15.

Pride Films and Plays has announced that $5 of each ticket sold for each Friday 8pm performance of ALL THAT HE WAS, the Jeff-recommended musical that opened on Monday August 12, will go toward one of four Chicago-area charities that provides services and advocacy for those impacted by HIV/AIDS.

The 1993 AIDS-themed musical ALL THAT HE WAS is set to open on August 12 at the Pride Arts Center. The writers have crafted a special version of the show specifically for the Pride venue, with new music and a newly revised script.

The Factory Theater is proud to announce five new members of its artistic ensemble: Brittney Brown, Jose M. Cervantes, Ashley Yates, Michael Jones and Jennifer Betancourt.  Factory's ensemble members write all of the Factory's original plays and have full voting rights in the company, including season selection, leadership election and accepting new ensemble members. They are also forced to do arduous chores like helping with strike and manning the box office.

Underscore Theatre Company is pleased to present its 5th annual CHICAGO MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL, created to showcase and support the growing field of musical theatre creators from Chicago and beyond. This year's Festival features full productions of nine new musicals plus two free readings. The Festival will be performed simultaneously on two stages at The Edge Theater: the Broadway (5451 N. Broadway) and the new Off Broadway (1133 W. Catalpa Ave.) in Chicago Edgewater neighborhood. Each full production will receive at least five performances during the Festival. Blank Theatre Company, following their sold-out run of Spring Awakening, continues their fundraising efforts during their first season with 'New Year, New You', a cabaret celebrating the start of 2019 and setting intentions for the year ahead. Featuring some of Chicago's brightest up and coming talent, this cabaret will leave the audience feeling inspired and motivated to have their best year yet.

Chicago Sings: Alanis Morissette is the first of a future cabaret series featuring some of Chicago's hottest local talent for an evening to celebrate the seven Grammy Award winner and multi-platinum singer and songwriter Alanis Morissette. The concert is produced and directed by Brittney Brown, Alex Iacobucci, and Travis Monroe Neese.

The Factory Theater begins its 26th season with The Darkness After Dawn, October 19 - December 1, at the Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St., Chicago. The play is written by Factory Theater Co-Artistic Director and Jeff Award-winning playwright Manny Tamayo and directed by Factory Theater Ensemble Member Mandy Walsh.
