The national tour of R.E.S.P.E.C.T. will begin at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on Thursday, October 6. The tour's official opening night will take place on Friday, October 7 with the final Brooklyn performance on Saturday, October 8.

In response to Covid to provide some money to NYC’s many out-of-work or underemployed string musicians, Manny Alvarez launched a “Kolstein Performance Showcase” in collaboration with the Essex House on Central Park South/7th.  There is an ongoing schedule every Friday evening from 7-8 PM.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, The Negro Ensemble Company, Inc. (NEC) has been developing 'Lambs to Slaughter' by Khalil Kain, a new play with poetry and music, under the direction of Reginald L. Douglas. Khalil Kain is an urban icon who is renowned for his performances in the 1992 crime thriller 'Juice,' the UPN/CW sitcom 'Girlfriends' (2001-2008) and the title role in the Showtime biopic 'The Tiger Woods Story.'

Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Song Salon will present “I Wanna Be Evil: The Eartha Kitt Story” starring Jenelle Randall, with Darrell Philip, written by Jenelle Lynn Randall. Directed by Yvans Jourdin with music direction by Darnell White, this one night only event will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 7pm at Theater 555 (555 West 42nd Street).

Internationally renowned award-winning Saxophonist Mike Phillips has released a new smooth jazz single, 'City Lights.'​​​​​​​ 'CITY LIGHTS' was written by Claude Villani and produced by Hamilton Hardin. 'I had the melody for City Lights in my head for years and one day I played it for Mike and he really connected with it and well, the rest is history,' mentions Claude Villani. 'It always reminds me of a summer day when I hear it,' he adds.

Broadway star Shoshana Bean, who can currently be seen opposite Billy Crystal in the new musical Mr. Saturday Night, stepped up to the plate this afternoon to deliver a stunning rendition of the National Anthem on opening day at Yankee Stadium. Watch the video!

Popular musical director Darnell White is making his Joe's Pub debut in a new solo show filled with his own stories and all original music, created at his own hand.
