The boys are back! Netflix announced today that Ryan Murphy's The Boys in the Band film will officially arrive on the streaming service on September 30.

On this day in 2018, Mart Crowley's groundbreaking 1968 play, The Boys in the Band returned to Broadway, directed by Joe Mantello and produced by Ryan Murphy and David Stone, 

Today, GLSEN launched RESPECT EVERYWHERE, a series of innovative fundraising initiatives presented in short videos running from May 18-22. RESPECT EVERYWHERE promises to deliver the moving testaments from students and educators that have been the hallmark of the New York event, but to an even wider audience.

BroadwayWorld recently reported that playwright Mart Crowley, best known for writing the play The Boys in the Band, passed away.

The Old Globe today announced its latest cast and creative team as the illustrious actors in The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program expertly perform William Shakespeare's magical comedy Twelfth Night, directed by Jesse Perez, the program's Director of Professional Training and a noted actor (Off Broadway's Party People, the Globe's Romeo and Juliet, La Jolla Playhouse's Seize the King). Last night, Harry Connick Jr. hosted an intimate screening  of JUDY at CROSBY ST. HOTEL for stars Renée Zellweger and Finn Wittrock.

Over the last decade, Ryan Murphy has become one of the most influential creators in entertainment. The screenwriter, director and producer has won six Emmy Awards out of 28 nominations and a Tony Award in 2019 for Best Revival of a Play, as a producer. He has also earned three Grammy Award nominations, as a producer.

The Boys in The Band took its final Broadway bow yesterday, August 11, 2018. The limited engagement began previews on April 30th at Broadway's Booth Theater (222 West 45th Street) and officially opened on May 31st.

The Actors Fund announced today that The Boys in the Band has added a Special Midnight Performance for The Actors Fund. This benefit performance will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11:59 pm at the Booth Theatre.
