This year's Harlem School of the Arts (HSA) Masquerade Ball and After Party, an annual benefit gala in support of the 54-year-old arts organization, surpassed expectations once again by raising over a million dollars, for the second year in a row. The event was held at The Plaza Hotel in New York City, and was hosted by Fox 5's very own, Lori Stokes who shared the podium with co-host, 9-year-oldJayden Hairston, one of HSA's outstanding student ambassadors.
RLJE Films Acquires MONSTER PARTY

RLJE Films (NASDAQ: RLJE), has acquired all North American rights to the upcoming the horror/thriller Monster Party from writer/director Chris von Hoffmann (Drifter). The film stars Julian McMahon (“Nip/Tuck”), Robin Tunney (The Craft, “The Mentalist”), Sam Strike (Leatherface), Erin Moriarty (Blood Father), Lance Reddick (John Wick, “Fringe”), Brandon Micheal Hall (“Search Party”), Virginia Gardner (Project Almanac), and Diego Boneta (“Scream Queens”) . RLJE Films will release the film nationally in theaters, VOD and Digital HD on Nov. 2, 2018.

CBS will offer special advance digital access to the premiere episode of the new series GOD FRIENDED ME across the CBS app, CBS All Access, CBS.com, Facebook Premieres, Twitter, Instagram's IGTV and multiple EST platforms (including iTunes, Vudu, Google and Sony) beginning at 2:00 PM, ET/11:00 AM, PT on Friday, August 31 ahead of its broadcast premiere on Sunday, Sept. 30 (8:30-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

STITCHERS star Kyle Harris has joined the cast of Greg Berlanti's CBS pilot 'God Friended Me,' Entertainment Tonight reports. Harris will appear as a guest in the pilot in the role of Eli James. DEAR EVAN HANSEN star Rachel Bay Jones has joined the cast of Greg Berlanti's CBS pilot 'God Friended Me,' Variety has learned exclusively. Jones will appear as a guest in the pilot and will join the cast in a recurring role, should the series move forward. 'God Friended Me' is a comedy series about an outspoken atheist, played by Brandon Micheal Hall, whose life is turned upside down when God friends him on Facebook. Jones will play Susan, whose past is involved with the investigation into God's account.
