McCarter will welcome a group of esteemed and emerging playwrights and theater artists to Princeton for the Sallie B. Goodman Artists' Retreat. The annual retreat in June is a centerpiece of McCarter's LAB, a platform and creative incubator devoted to ongoing theatrical development and artist cultivation. The 2019 Retreat will take place from June 12 - June 19.

California Shakespeare Theater continues its 2019 summer season with The Good Person of Szechwan by Bertolt Brecht, translated by Wendy Arons and adapted by Tony Kushner, playing July 3 through July 21, 2019 at the Bruns Amphitheater. Ucross, a prestigious artist residency program and creative laboratory for the arts in northeast Wyoming, is proud to announce the debut of "Ucross Spotlight": a nationwide series of performances, live readings, moderated panels, and cultural events featuring its esteemed alumni. Milwaukee Repertory Theater presents Everybody by Pulitzer Prize finalist Branden Jacobs-Jenkins performed by the 2018/19 Professional Training Institute (PTI) ensemble  July 18 -21, 2019 in the Stiemke Studio.  PTI is an advanced actor-training program for students in 9th-12th grade who may have an interest in pursuing a career as a professional theater artist.   The 2018/19 PTI ensemble features sixteen students hailing from ten different high schools who received free training from some of the top theater professionals in the world, culminating in this capstone performance of Everybody, where they will be employed as paid, professional actors.

The Colorado New Play Festival announces full casting for all five readings for the 2019 season. The 22nd Annual Festival, to be held on June 2-8, 2019 in Steamboat Springs, CO, will develop five new works in partnership with City Theatre Company, Curious Theatre Company, The Public Theater, South Coast Repertory and Steppenwolf Theatre.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces full casting for Artistic Director Michael Longhurst's inaugural Donmar production Europe by David Greig. Vineyard Theatre announces an initial line-up of stars set for the company's 2019 Gala fundraiser celebrating Tony, Olivier, Drama Desk, and Drama League Award nominated artist and Vineyard Board Member, Colman Domingo. Jennifer Lawrence has set her next film role, an untitled film for IAC FILMS and A24 that will be directed by Lila Neugebauer, the director of 'The Waverly Gallery,' according to Variety.

The 2019-2020 Signature Theatre Season will feature six works by five resident playwrights, including two productions by Signature's new Residency 1 playwright Anna Deavere Smith, world premiere plays from Residency 5 playwrights Katori Halland Dominique Morisseau, a New York premiere from new Residency 5 playwright Lauren Yee, and a new production of a Pulitzer Prize-winning play from Legacy playwright Horton Foote, the company announced today.
