Single tickets are now on sale for Curious Theatre Company's Season 29, a curated lineup of Pulitzer Prize winners, regional premieres, and transformative theatrical experiences. Reserve your seats today.

There are seasons that simply fill a calendar, and then there are seasons that remind you why live theatre matters in the first place. At Curious Theatre Company, plays are chosen not for popularity, but for urgency—stories that challenge, surprise, and invite audiences into conversations that continue long after the lights come up. Season 29 is exactly that kind of season.

Anchored by a single guiding question—Who are we to each other?Four Plays Worth Leaving Home For each approach this question from a different perspective, each offering an answer that cannot be reduced to a simple sentence.

TOPDOG/UNDERDOG by Suzan-Lori Parks is a Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece about two brothers bound by love, rivalry, and fate. Funny, explosive, and deeply human, this play captures the complexity of familial bonds in ways that linger with audiences long after the final scene.

ONE OF THE GOOD ONES by Gloria Calderón Kellet marks a gripping regional premiere that examines identity, belonging, and the impossible expectations we place on ourselves and each other. This production brings a vital new voice to the Curious stage.

MARJORIE PRIME by Jordan Harrison is a Pulitzer finalist that haunts and surprises in equal measure. This tender, thought-provoking work asks what remains of us when memory begins to fade and technology remembers everything we wish to forget.

PURPOSE by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, fresh from Broadway and winner of both the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award, is a sharp and funny family drama that explores legacy, power, and the stories families tell to survive. This is theatre that meets this moment rather than escaping it.

Season 29 also marks a new chapter for Curious Theatre Company. While the company's longtime home at 1080 Acoma undergoes renovation, performances will be in residence at the historic home of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, creating theatre in one of Denver's most significant cultural spaces. This temporary move reflects the spirit that has always defined Curious: bold stories, meaningful partnerships, and a belief that great theatre belongs in the heart of the community.

If you believe theatre should challenge as often as it comforts, if you enjoy leaving a performance still talking about what you just experienced, if you're looking for stories that meet this moment instead of escaping it—Season 29 is waiting for you. Experience a season built for audiences who love theatre that asks more than it answers.
