Valley Youth Theatre Launches 'Invest In VYT' Campaign

a??a??a??a??a??a??a??Local award-winning children's theatre company, Valley Youth Theatre (VYT), had to cancel the last two shows of their 31st season and all upcoming performing arts camps and classes for the spring. With no incoming revenue, they have decided to look to the future and launch their 'Invest in VYT' campaign, awarding a ticket to each of their next six productions for every $100 invested in VYT during the COVID-19 crisis.
VYT's THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA Opens Next Friday

Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) opens the fourth production in the theatre's 31st anniversary season, The Princess and the Pea, on Friday, February 7, at Valley Youth Theatre, 525 N 1st Street, in Downtown Phoenix. This production runs through February 23 and marks the sixth time VYT has produced this play. Other seasons that included it were 1992, 1996, 2001, 2007 and 2013.

Valley Youth Theatre Opens 24th WINNIE THE POOH CHRISTMAS TAIL

Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) opens their 24TH production of A Winnie-the-Pooh Christmas Tail, Friday, December 6, at 7:00 pm, at Valley Youth Theatre. In addition to opening night, public performances include Saturdays and Sundays, December 7, 8, 14, 15 and 22 at 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm, as well as three performances on Saturday, December 21, at 11:00 am, 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm and two performances on Monday, December 23, at 10:00 am and 12:30 pm. The theatre is located at 525 North First Street, in Downtown Phoenix, and ticket prices begin at $17, when purchased as part of a 4-show package.

Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) is producing They Chose Me!, a musical written to create understanding and acceptance among and for children who are adopted or in the foster care system. Written by adoptive parent Ned Paul Ginsburg and Michael Colby, who will both be in attendance opening night, They Chose Me features twenty three young performers from around the Valley. The show runs October 11-27, at 525 North First Street, in Downtown Phoenix. Tickets are $20 and on sale now at www.vyt.com.

The Herberger Theater Center is the stage for Valley Youth Theatre's (VYT) annual fundraising event, VYTal Affair, on Saturday, August 17, 2019, beginning at 5:30pm. VYTal is the acronym for Valley Youth Theatre Applauds Leadership, and gives the nonprofit theatre company an opportunity to recognize those who help Phoenix children be the best they can be, while showcasing what VYT contributes to the performing art community. Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) opens its 31st season with Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical, August 9, on Center Stage at The Herberger Theater Center, marking the first time this smash Broadway musical has been produced by an Arizona-based theatre company.
