Exeter Northcott Theatre is creating a filmed production of a rarely-performed version of Antigone by Bertolt Brecht.

For the 112th Kritzerland show, it's All the Weill, a celebration of the brilliant music of Kurt Weill, along with his equally brilliant lyricists, Bertolt Brecht, Ogden Nash, Langston Hughes, Ira Gershwin, Alan Jay Lerner, and Maxwell Anderson.

On Friday, April 2, 2021, Steinway & Sons releases SIMPLE MUSIC, a complete recording of the rarely heard book of 33 miniatures from music for stage and screen by Georgia's legendary composer Giya Kancheli, performed and reimagined by two intrepid masters of their instruments: pianist Jenny Lin and accordion virtuoso Guy Klucevsek. 

Today the Royal Opera House has announced that it will once again open its doors to audiences on 17 May 2021, with a packed schedule of in-person performances from both The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera, brand new work available to stream online, and the world's first opera in hyper-reality.   

The fifth edition of the Opera Forward Festival (OFF) will take place from 18-21 March on a custom-designed online festival venue. Under the overarching theme 'Where do we go from here?”, OFF will present daily thematic programming, completely free of charge and with English subtitles.

Vinnette Carroll was an American playwright, actress, and theatre director best known for being the was the first African-American woman to direct on Broadway, with her 1972 production of the musical Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope.
