Starting this week, The Actors Studio will continue its 75th Anniversary celebration as the world’s most celebrated and influential membership association for professional actors, directors and playwrights. In December, the legendary studio will open its doors to the public for with three special events, each free and open to the public.

The Actors Studio, now celebrating 75 years as the world’s most celebrated and influential membership association for professional actors, directors & playwrights, will open its doors to the public to observe “Actors Studio In Process” on Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12 at 7PM.

The Actors Studio will host a 75th Anniversary benefit screening of the Academy Award-winning film Dog Day Afternoon, followed by a live interview with the film’s star and The Actors Studio co-president Al Pacino. The Gala event will take place Thursday, October 27 at 7PM, the United Palace.

Once again, Sam Gravitte, recently seen as Fiyero in Wicked on Broadway, teamed up with a quartet of some of New York City’s most dynamic young musicians at Birdland on Monday evening. Sam performed standards like 'Why Try to Change Me Now,” Sondheim’s 'Finishing the Hat,' and duetted with Solea Pfeiffer (Evita, West Side Story). See photos here!

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present Bobby Conte – currently playing the role of PJ in the Broadway revival of Company – in his acclaimed solo concert “Along the Way” on Monday, August 15 at 7:00 PM.

Just yesterday, Broadway united to remember the legend. Michael Feinstein produced a memorial event at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, featuring performances by: Kristin Chenoweth, Harvey Fierstein, Sutton Foster, Kelli O'Hara, Bernadette Peters, Betty Buckley, Klea Blackhurst, Alice Borden, Jane Dorian, Lewis Stadlen, Lorna Luft, Ron Raines, Jason Graae, Marilyn Maye, Jeremy Jordan, Don Pippin, Lee Roy Reams, and Debbie Gravitte, with special video tributes from Angela Lansbury and Paul McCartney. Marc Bruni directed the event with Larry Blank serving as music director.

Ovation TV, America's only arts network, has announced a half-hour documentary special about the history of The Actors Studio in support of the new season of Inside the Actors Studio. Featuring exclusive interviews with prominent members of The Actors Studio, The Actors Studio Mastering the Art Form will air on Ovation on Friday, November 8th at 12pm ET.

The Old Globe's world premiere musical Almost Famous, with book and lyrics by Academy Award winner and San Diego native Cameron Crowe (films Jerry Maguire, Say Anything..., Fast Times at Ridgemont High), opened just last week on September 27. BroadwayWorld is taking you inside the big night below!

The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University 2019 Repertory Season completed its season of exciting and challenging theater productions with The Bald Soprano by Eugene Ionesco, Roger and Vanessa by Brett C Leonard, and the word premieres of Game Sugar by Juliet Cameron-Wilson and Picket Fence People by Estelle Olivia. The season features the work of the graduating MFA Acting and Directing students who collaborate on professionally produced productions presented at the ASDS Repertory Theater in downtown Manhattan.

The season features the work of the graduating MFA Acting, Directing, and Playwriting students who collaborate on professionally produced productions presented at 3LD Art & Technology Center.
