Broadway says goodbye to productions. Funny Girl takes its final bow at the August Wilson Theatre following 130 previews and 599 regular performances; and Once Upon a One More Time will conclude its run at the Marquis Theatre following 42 previews and 81 regular performances.

Broadway's former Funny Girl Beanie Feldstein and partner Bonnie Chance Roberts tied the knot in a celebration in New York's Hudson Valley on May 20.

Interscope Records announced that it has signed Tony, GRAMMY and Emmy Award winning artist Ben Platt. Platt is currently working on new music which upon its completion will be released via Interscope Records. As part of the deal, Platt will have the ability to sign and develop artists on his own imprint.

Director Richard Linklater has responded to fans who are concerned about not living to see his Merrily We Roll Along film adaptation. He also discussed how the film's process compares to his recent film Boyhood, which similarly filmed once a year from 2002 to 2013. Merrily We Roll Along will star Ben Platt, Beanie Feldstein, and Paul Mescal.

The teaser trailer has been released for the new film adaptation of Carmen, starring Melissa Barrera and Paul Mescal. Benjamin Millepied’s CARMEN is a gritty modern day tale, with a majestic score by Nicholas Britell, and dream-like dance sequences that evoke magic realism. The indie cult classic movie Camp, which tells the story of a summer at theater camp based on the legendary Stagedoor Manor Center for Performing Arts, celebrates its 20th anniversary this summer and will feature a reunion of several cast members and a performance by campers at Stagedoor Manor.

Ben Platt has revealed that the second sequence for the Merrily We Roll Along film adaption will be shot this year. Platt will star as Charley Kringas in the movie based on Stephen Sondheim's iconic musical, with Beanie Feldstein as Mary Flynn and the recently announced Paul Mescal as Franklin Shepard.

New York Theater Workshop's production of Merrily We Roll Along officially opened last night, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff, and Lindsay Mendez. Performances began on Monday, November 21st. BroadwayWorld was there for the opening, and you can check out photos from the red carpet here!
