On Thursday, October 28, Situation, in collaboration with The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, invites the next generation of changemakers to peek behind the curtain of Broadway’s vast job market in this special, virtual “open house” for college students, recent grads, and aspiring young professionals.

The New York Youth Symphony Musical Theater Songwriting Program (NYYS) and Director Anna K. Jacobs have announced the 2021/2022 Season. Heading into its fourth season the NYYS Musical Theater Songwriting program is specially designed to lead students through a range of musical theater songwriting processes. 

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation, the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, announces the election of Justin Emeka, Doug Hughes, and Seema Sueko as the newest members of the SDCF Board of Trustees. They join President Mark Brokaw, Vice President/Secretary Anne Kauffman, Sheldon Epps, Linda Hartzell, Dan Knechtges, Laura Penn, and Victoria Traube as Trustees of the Foundation. Page 73 has announced details of its virtual 2021 Spring Benefit. James Jackson, Jr. and John-Andrew Morrison, stars of Michael R. Jackson's Pulitzer Prize-winning, Page 73-co-produced musical A Strange Loop, will host the event, which streams free of charge on Page 73's YouTube Channel on Thursday, June 10, at 8pm EST.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation, the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, today announced the recipient and six finalists for the inaugural Barbara Whitman Award. Established by theatrical producer Barbara Whitman, the award recognizes a female, trans, or non-binary early-career director who has demonstrated a unique vision in their work with an unrestricted $10,000 cash prize.

THE SPOTLIGHT SERIES, a bi-monthly live streamed concert series created by A LITTLE NEW MUSIC will “spotlight” the music of composer/lyricist Anna K. Jacobs on February 16th. The evening will be co-hosted by ALNM co-producers Luke H. Klipp and Kila Packett, and produced by amy francis schott.
