Funny Girl gets new funny ladies tonight! Lea Michele will star as 'Fanny Brice' and Tovah Feldshuh will star as 'Mrs. Brice,' alongside Tony & Olivier Award nominee Ramin Karimloo as 'Nick Arnstein'. The production will invite critics back to the show, but not for a few weeks, after the pair has had a “brief time to perform together.” 

Lea Michele is set to take over as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway, beginning performances on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, and when she joins the company, she will be getting a new song to sing! A new interlude of the song 'I’d Rather Be Blue Over You' that Barbra Streisand sings in the movie, will be added to the show.

 Broadway Black presents The 2nd Annual Antonyo Awards, which honors Black theatre artists during the 2021-2022 season. The live, in-person ceremony will be held on Monday, October 10 at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem (253 West 125th Street). Beanie Feldstein announced this evening that she will be departing Funny Girl on Broadway July 31st, 2022. Feldstein was previously scheduled to depart the production with co-star Jane Lynch on September 25th.
