Emerging Artists Theatre has announced the return of their biannual New Work Series which runs October 4 - 24, 2021 at TADA Theater in the Flatiron District.

New York Theatre Barn will host a live stream of its New Works Series on Wednesday, July 14th, 2021 at 7PM EST, featuring excerpts from Fly More Than You Fall and In Emily’s Words. The live presentation will also feature a conversation with the writers. This 47th installment will conclude the company’s virtual edition of their New Works Series.

New York Theatre Barn will host the final installment of its free live streams of its award-winning New Works Series. Available on New York Theatre Barn’s YouTube channel and Broadway on Demand, the final installment of the live 1-hour series will include excerpts from two new musicals and a conversation with the writers and creative team.

New York Theatre Barn will host a free live stream of its Choreography Lab on Monday, August 17th, 2020 at 7PM EDT. A Quarantine Lab will explore creating new choreography in a virtual space, and will feature the work of choreographers Raja Feather Kelly (choreographer of A Strange Loop) and Tislarm Bouie (Gary a Sequel to Titus Andronicus).

Written by Dann Berg and Avital Asuleen (Director/Choreographer), THE FLOORSHOW intersperses song-and-dance numbers into the dramatization of the personal and professional hurdles that an all-female performance troupe faces in 1951 New York City. Moving between onstage and backstage at The Gilded Palace, THE FLOORSHOW nests an emotionally rich female-sisterhood narrative within a framework of creative competition and sexism.

Tickets are now on sale for the World Premiere of the new play The Floorshow, running September 26th-29th at Theatre 71 (152 w. 71st Street).

Tony Award-Winning Shrek The Musical begins performances at The Colonial Theatre (111 South Street; Pittsfield) on August 1 and runs through August 17. Directed by Travis Daly (BTG: Tarzan, The Music Man, Beauty and the Beast), with music direction by Mark Gionfriddo (BTG: Tarzan, The Music Man, Beauty and the Beast) and choreography by Avital Asuleen (BTG: The Music Man, Tarzan), this charming musical features over 100 talented Berkshire youth.

This April Gallery Players brings their production of STEEL MAGNOLIAS to the stage on the 30th anniversary of the release of the film of the same name.

Berkshire Theatre Group seeks child and adult actors, musicians, backstage crew, technical support, usher staff and parent volunteers to participate in its upcoming non-equity production, Shrek The Musical. This production will be directed by Travis Daly, with music direction by Mark Gionfriddo and choreography by Avital Asuleen and will run August 1-August 17 at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, MA.
