The Elf on the Shelf's Magical Holiday Journey, a  magical family-friendly immersive open-air, walk-through experience is coming to Choctaw  Stadium in Arlington (formerly Globe Life Park) from November 18th through January 2nd.

Dallas Theater Center will present the world premiere of The Supreme Leader. The new comedy by Don X. Nguyen begins performances on October 28 at the Kalita Humphreys Theater.

 SYNETIC THEATER has announced the world premiere production of Maria Simpkins and Emily Whitworth’s CINDERELLA, with choreography by Janine Baumgardner and compositions by Konstantine Lortkipanidze. 

The Boston International Kids Film Festival is back with nearly 60 films. This year's selections feature a number of award-winning films including a documentary about a group of Massachusetts punk rockers that made it big on the Warp Tour before turning the age of 10, and a group of students that took the US Government to court in a fight over climate change.

The Music Institute of Chicago's Academy, a pre-conservatory training program for advanced string and piano musicians in high school, has a new home at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois. Now in its 16th year, the Academy has welcomed students from around the U.S. and across the globe for pre-professional training and exposure to some of the world's leading musicians.

Internationally renowned cellist Jesús Castro-Balbi will join the KSU Symphony Orchestra on stage on October 21 at 7:30 p.m. Named the Director of the Bailey School of Music on July 1, 2021, Castro-Balbi was first invited to perform at KSU in 2012 as a guest artist.

The non-profit organization Embracing Arlington Arts has released its Health Benefits of the Arts media package consisting of a three-part Educational Podcast Series featuring three researchers from George Mason University, as well as a one-stop library of 100 study links providing evidence of these benefits.

Area students join Metropolis School of the Performing Arts to perform a family-friendly version of the Stephen Sondheim fairytale classic Into the Woods JR., November 11-13, 2021, in the Metropolis Theatre.

Lightning House Players, a new local theatre company, is producing an original two-act musical, 'The Glassblower's Daughter: An American Fairy Tale,' scheduled to premiere a live performance at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, Mass., this October.

The Keegan Theatre has announced the cast and team of Adrienne Earle Pender’s powerful historical drama, N, making its Regional Premiere as the second production of Keegan’s 25th Anniversary Season. 

Eight playwrights find the comedy in crime in this rogue’s gallery of ten-minute plays wrapped in a classic whodunnit. When eccentric billionaire J. Leslie Arlington is murdered, a clueless detective finds the suspects are all reluctant to admit their alibis . . . because they were all committing other ridiculous crimes at the time.

SYNETIC THEATER will welcome in-person audiences back to the theater with terrifying tales from Edgar Allan Poe, THE MADNESS OF POE, choreographed by Irina Tsikurishvili and directed by Paata Tsikurishvili. 

Traveling Players performs Carlo Gozzi's play The Blue Monster on September 25 and 26.  This family-friendly fairy tale opens indoors September 25 as part of the Reston Multicultural Festival representing Italy.
