Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the presentation of a $6,000 check to JBJ Soul Kitchen Food Bank in Wainscott, raised as a portion of the donations received during the one-night-only Starry Night Gala Telethon, which aired virtually at baystreet.org.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 presents the new musical TWO THOUSAND MILES as part of their New Works series on Friday June 7at 9:30pm. Two Thousand Miles is an original musical with a book by Alyssa Williams with Morgan Bartholick, music & lyrics by Hans Zanger and Matthew DeMaria with some arrangements by Brian Fitzsoua. Despite an earlier report from the Hollywood Reporter, it has been reported that Academy Award-winner Rita Moreno (West Side Story) will not join the cast of the upcoming big screen adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, In The Heights, after all.

Anthony Ramos has been tapped to star in the film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's hit 2005 Broadway musical, In the Heights, according to Variety.

'Rise: A Benefit For The Arthritis Foundation' had it's first performance on March 26th at the Davenport Theatre. The show was directed by Alyssa Williams, choreographed by Jose-Luis Lopez Jr. (On Your Feet, In The Heights) with Gina DePool as associate choreographer, and music directed by Justin Ramos.

The Kennedy Center's production of IN THE HEIGHTS concluded its run yesterday. Anthony Ramos, who originated the roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton, starred as Usnavi in the Broadway Center Stage production of In the Heights at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Presented as a part of the inaugural season of Broadway Center Stage, a Kennedy Center-produced series of musicals in semi-staged concerts, In the Heights ran March 21-25, 2018 in the Eisenhower Theater.

Lin-Manuel Miranda surprised the standing-room-only crowd at the Kennedy Center's Broadway Center Stage production of his Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights on Saturday night. He was joined in the audience byHamilton and In the Heights music director Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton and In the Heights percussionist Andres Forero, andHamilton and In the Heights star Javier Muñoz. At the end of the performance, Lacamoire led the on stage orchestra in the show's finale with Forero joining on percussion. Miranda then joined the cast for their final bow.
