Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming are back together for season two of Schmigadoon, teaming up for a bloody-good parody of Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett. This was the third and final time this season that the Tony Awards Administration Committee met to decide the eligibility for the 76th Annual Tony Awards. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced that Jerry Mitchell will receive the 2023 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award in recognition of his outstanding dedication and contributions to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and for more than three decades of volunteer service through the arts. 

Apple TV+'s musical series Schmigadoon! has changed Emmy categories. The streaming service as submitted Schmigadoon's second season in the scripted variety series category, after previously being placed in comedy series for season one. However, actors like Jane Krakowski, Kristin Chenoweth, and more will still compete in comedy serues categories.

The Tony Awards and United Palace will present a series of community events in celebration of The 76th Annual Tony Awards which will broadcast live from the historic United Palace for the first time on Sunday, June 11, 2023.  

Chris Pine will voice King Magnifico in Disney's new animated musical comedy Wish. Pine will join the previously announced Ariana DeBose and Alan Tudyk. Pine will voice the ruler of Rosas, a magical kingdom of where all wishes really come true. Wish explores how the iconic wishing star came to be. DeBose voices the main character, Asha.
