Tickets will go on sale for Second Stage Theater's simulcast performances of its Broadway production of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ play, BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, directed by Austin Pendleton on Friday, November 11 at 12pm EST. 

On November 14, 2022, the Museum of the City of New York will present its 2022 Louis Auchincloss Prize to Anna Deavere Smith, actor, playwright, author, and professor, for her contributions to the cultural and performing arts landscape in New York City and beyond. 

Following HalfPint at Night, SigSpace will feature, on November 13 from 5:30-6:30pm, a concert response to Quiara Alegría Hudes’ memoir My Broken Language from Bushwick Book Club—the theatrical adaptation of which is currently being performed in the Signature Center’s Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre (through November 27).

United Solo has announced the nominees for their thirteenth annual Special Award, presented each year to an outstanding solo performance that takes place outside of the festival.

Second Stage Theater’s Fall Gala celebration will honor Second Stage Board Chair Terry Lindsay and her husband, Bob Lindsay, Co-Founder and Chairman of Lindsay Goldberg. The gala event will take place on Monday, October 17, 2022. The event will feature Michael Urie, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Brittney Mack and more.

Second Stage will offer simulcasts of its upcoming Broadway production of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, directed by Austin Pendleton, for the final two weeks of its run, January 31 – February 12, 2023, allowing theater fans who aren’t able to attend in person the opportunity to witness a live Broadway performance from home.

Signature Theatre will present Quiara Alegría Hudes’ My Broken Language, the acclaimed playwright’s stage adaptation of her eponymous memoir, and her return to Signature for the second play in her Premiere Residency. My Broken Language takes place Oct 18-Nov 27, 2022 in the Pershing Square Signature Center’s Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre.

The 2022-2023 Writing Fellows Are Andrea Ambam, Alyssa Haddad-Chin, Jesse Jae Hoon, and Alex Lin; 2022-2023 Scratchpad Playwrights Are Anamaria Guerzon, Ankita Raturi, and Christopher Washington; 2022-2023 Native American Artist Lab Participants Are Sean-Joseph Choo and Moki Bear Eagle.
