Second Stage Theater will kick off its 44th Season with the New York Premiere of CAMP SIEGFRIED, the new play from Tony Award-nominee BESS WOHL, directed by Tony Award-winner DAVID CROMER. The production will feature SAWYER BARTH and LILY McINERNY, both of whom will be making their off-Broadway stage debuts.

What did our critic think of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA at Nederlander Theatre? Haute mess. Fashion weak. Prêt-à-poor taste. I could go on with the fashion puns all day, but suffice to say THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, the new musical which opened Sunday in not quite ready for the runway in its current state.

The world premiere production of The Devil Wears Prada, The Musical has officially opened in Chicago! The production began performances on July 19th, and celebrated opening night tonight, August 7th. The production runs through August 21st at Broadway In Chicago's James M. Nederlander Theatre. THE MINUTES by Tony Award & Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Letts, directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro will conclude its limited Broadway engagement on Sunday, July 24. To date, the production has raised nearly $130,000 from a portion of tickets sales to support global humanitarian organization Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund.

The next show at the Mark Taper Forum, Rajiv Joseph’s King James world premieres June 8, 2022 (with previews starting June 1st). Kenny Leon directs this co-production of Center Theatre Group and Steppenwolf Theatre Company starring Glenn Davis and Chris Perfetti. On Monday, June 6th, Second Stage Theater will host the Fair Chance Job Fair. Fair Chance Hiring means that employers refrain from including questions about conviction history in the application process before a job offer is made. 

 Chicago will continue to produce some of the most exciting work in the country this summer. Offerings from the city’s more than 250 producing theatres include a wide variety of plays and musicals, as well as comedy, dance, and outdoor events.
