A funny story, when I was a kid I collected movie posters. The local movie theater would often give away posters after a movie ran and I would take what I could get. One of the posters I got was of a movie I had never seen called “A Chorus Line”. That poster hung on my wall for a year or two until it was replaced by another, and I never did see the movie...

Nine revolting children take center stage in the San Diego Regional Premiere production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical at the Moonlight Amphitheatre July 17 through August 3 at 8 p.m. The Tony Award-winning musical is inspired by the twisted genius of British author Roald Dahl (novels Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG among others; and the screenplays of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) and is brought to life on The Moonlight stage by the creative team of Director Jamie Torcellini, Choreographer Colleen Kollar Smith, and Music Director and Conductor Elan McMahan

The Fools & Kings Project in collaboration with Riverbank State Park opens its free outdoor production of Pericles on Saturday, September 9th at Riverbank State Park at 4:00 PM (entrance at W 145th St. and Riverside Drive). This marks the second of the company's fourth season of free, outdoor Shakespeare.
FUN HOME Opens 30th Anniversary Season at The Armory

Portland Center Stage at The Armory's 30th anniversary season opens with the groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical Fun Home. Created by Jeanine Tesori (music) and Lisa Kron (book and lyrics) and based on the celebrated graphic memoir by Alison Bechdel, Fun Home will begin preview performances on September 16, open September 22, and run through October 22 on The Armory's U.S. Bank Main Stage. Artistic Director Chris Coleman will direct a cast lead by Allison Mickelson, Sara Masterson and Aida Valentine as the central character, Alison, at three different ages. Robert Mammana (previously at The Armory as Skye Masterson in Guys and Dolls and Father in Ragtime) and Faith Sandberg will play Alison's parents, Bruce and Helen Bechdel.

The Fools & Kings Project in collaboration with Riverbank State Park opened its free outdoor production of Much Ado About N othing on Saturday, May 6th at Summit Rock at 6:00 PM (entrance at W 86th Street and Centra Park West).
