Next week, 54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. A recipient of the 2022 Tony Awards® Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, 54 Below celebrates Broadway musicals and writers of the past and present, promoting an ongoing engagement with their work.

The cast of New York City Center Encores! production of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s revival of Into the Woods at the St. James Theatre has been announced through November 20. Into the Woods has now extended for the final time, by popular demand, through January 8, 2023.
A is For is commemorating their 10-year anniversary by returning for their annual benefit live and in person back at 54 Below. The event will take place at 54 Below on Sunday Oct 2nd; 6:30 pm, and feature Ann Harada, Patti LuPone, Lea DeLaria, Bonnie Milligan, Javier Muñoz and more to be announced.

Joining the company on September 6 are Stephanie J. Block as the Baker’s Wife, Sebastian Arcelus as the Baker, Krysta Rodriguez as Cinderella, Katy Geraghty as Little Red Ridinghood, Jim Stanek as the Steward, and Montego Glover will share the role of The Witch with Patina Miller. Out of 163 submissions, the San Diego State University New Musical Initiative has chosen In a Sunshine State as this year's selection. Writers T.C. Lind, Derek Gregor, and Phoebe Kreutz will join with director Stephen Brotebeck, music director Robert Meffe and the SDSU MFA Musical Theatre cohort for a two-year development process and world premiere in the spring of 2024.
