FIDDLER ON THE ROOF IN YIDDISH Will Return Off-Broadway This Fall Starring Steven Skybell

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene will present a seven-week return engagement of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, the revelatory and award-winning production of one of the world's most beloved musicals. The production, a New York Times Critic's Pick, will play a strictly limited seven-week return engagement from November 13, 2022 to January 1, 2023 Off-Broadway at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

The New Group Announces Spring 2022 Celebration DIONYSIA

A Spring Celebration “Dionysia,” benefiting The New Group, is set to take place Monday, June 6 from 6:00-9:30pm at Guastavino's (409 East 59th Street).  This event will honor playwright Donja R. Love and New Group Board Members Jana Shea and Anita Waxman with the Mimi and Michael Mendelson Award for Outstanding Commitment to Theater.

Theater Resources Unlimited Presents Writer-Producer Speed Date

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) presents a unique networking and educational opportunity for writers: TRU's renowned Writer-Producer Speed Date on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Shetler Studios, 244 W. 54th Street, Penthouse. Submission deadline is 2/19/20. Session 1 offers coaching at 4:30PM, pitching at 5:30PM; session 2 offers coaching at 5:30PM, pitching at 6:30PM. Tickets are $75 for TRU members, $85 for non-members, $25 for each additional collaborator. Irish Arts Center Announces Spring 2020 Programming

Irish Arts Center (IAC), a multidisciplinary arts center dedicated to bringing people of all backgrounds together through the excellence and dynamism of Irish culture, announces programming for the Spring 2020 season. The organization enters the new decade with a robust and multiform season, the last (for now) in its 51st Street home, prior to the highly anticipated opening of the New Irish Arts Center, fittingly showcasing the organization's enduring interest in bridging tradition and innovation. (The Center's 51st Street venue will be renovated following the opening of the new, adjacent 11th Avenue building, which it will ultimately adjoin.) As IAC prepares its momentous transformation, they continue to focus a long-held core vision for inclusively pairing and coalescing boundary-pushing contemporary work from Ireland, America, and around the world, with an appreciation of Irish artistic history and tradition. Whether in music, theater, dance, literature, or any collision of forms, IAC's seasons carry with them Ireland and Irish America's cultural legacies; panoramic visions of current artistic movements; and maps to the vast potentials of their futures.

Photo Coverage: Broadway Producers 'Launch' at the Friars Club

Some of Broadway's leading women producers lunched at the Friars Club today followed by a panel discussion moderated by Friar and Broadway producer Jamie deRoy.  Ms. deRoy who happens to be the 8th woman inducted into the Friars (back in the day), guided the discussion of the distinguished Tony Award Winning group which included Susan Gallin (Other People's Money, Angels in America), Robyn Goodman (Avenue Q, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella), Mara Isaacs (Hadestown, McCarter Theater), Nelle Nugent (Latin History for Morons, For Colored Girls), and Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, Indecent).

OSCAR AT THE CROWN Extends Through September

OSCAR at The Crown, the extraordinary immersive nightclub musical, announces an extension through September at 3 Dollar Bill in Brooklyn. Originally slated to run through the summer, the production will continue through the month due to popular demand, with its final performance in Brooklyn on Saturday, September 28th. Future plans for the production will be announced in the coming weeks.
