The season starts Twin Cities-favorite The New Standards who will once again bring jazz, humor and special guests to their annual holiday show. Best-selling pianist Jim Brickman performs holiday favorites and number-one songs in A Christmas Celebration. The Minneapolis-based vocal group The Blenders celebrate 30 years with their Holiday Soul Tour. Finally, Sounds of Blackness: The Night Before Christmas will showcase the Grammy Award-winning vocal group's talents with a festive, family-friendly performance.

Casting has been announced for Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA for its highly anticipated return to the Fox Cities at Fox Cities P.A.C. next month. Following on from their celebration of all things Queen in October, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra last night returned to the Royal Albert Hall for a night of modern musical magic. Conducted by Richard Balcombe, the orchestra performed an incredible range of songs from modern-day shows - ranging from screen-to-stage adaptations and jukebox hits, to completely original musicals. Stage star Bonnie Langford (currently in the West End production of 9 to 5) was there to oversee the evening's events, and was joined by soloists Alex Gaumond, Celinde Schoenmaker, Louise Dearman and Ben Forster, as well as the ArtsEd Ensemble.

It was confirmed that Idina Menzel will play Evelyn, the evil stepmother, in the live-action Cinderella film starring Camila Cabello. Ariana Debose has joined the cast of Ryan Murphy's Netflix adaptation of the The Prom. In other Netflix news, it was announced that Andrew Garfield will star in the Lin-Manuel Miranda directed Netflix adaptation of tick, tick...BOOM!

New York City Center is getting ready for its Gala Presentation of Evita, running November 13 - 24. Directed by Sammi Cannold, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock-opera musical follows the controversial ascent of Argentina's renowned first lady. The production will star two actors in the title role. Maia Reficco, award-winning Argentine actor and recording artist, will play Eva age 15 - 20, and Solea Pfeiffer (Almost Famous, Hamilton), last at City Center in Songs for a New World, will play Eva age 20 - 33. The cast will also feature Jason Gotay as Che, Enrique Acevedo as Perón and Philip Hernandez as Magaldi.
