Director Daniel Sullivan told me what he loved about the play, 'When I read it now, almost 40 years after it was done, it still scares me. I had never directed Pinter, so I thought it was about time.''

The holiday season is officially over, and so is A Christmas Carol. The play concludes its limited Broadway run at the Lyceum Theatre today, January 5, following 12 previews and 58 regular performances.
A Christmas Carol, which opened on Broadway November 20, 2019, has just broken another box office record at the Lyceum Theatre. Adapted by Jack Thorne and directed by Matthew Warchus, A Christmas Carol grossed $954,054.40 over nine performances for the week ending December 29. It tops the house record previously held by Oh, Hello, the Nick Kroll and John Mulaney comedy that grossed $911,602 for the week ending January 1, 2017.
