Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival has announced the complete principal casts, creative teams, and events planned for the previously announced summer season.

Building on the great success of last year’s inaugural Japan Parade, the 2nd annual Japan Parade in New York City will be held on Saturday, May 13, beginning at 1PM.

Complete principal casting for this summer’s riotous new Broadway comedy, The Cottage, was announced today. SNL’s Alex Moffat, Nehal Joshi and Dana Steingold will be joining the previously announced Eric McCormack, Laura Bell Bundy, and Lilli Cooper. 

The Ambies celebrate excellence in podcasting and elevate awareness and status of podcasts as a unique and personal medium for entertainment, information, storytelling and expression. The ceremony will highlight 185 nominees across 26 categories with winners to be selected by every voting member of The Podcast Academy (TPA).

& Juliet, Ain't No Mo, Kimberly Akimbo, A Strange Loop, Take Me Out, Better Nate Than Ever, High School Musical: the Musical: the Series, Trevor: the Musical, Reneé Rapp, Dove Cameron, Only Murders in the Building, and more were nominated for GLAAD Media Awards. Actor and Haitian Ambassador at Large Jimmy Jean-Louis is set to host the second annual GHESKIO Fundraiser in Cannes. GHESKIO, the world renowned health, social services and HIV/TB research center in Haiti will team up with sponsor Alta Global Media for the special event. The fundraiser will be held on Sunday, May 22nd, 2022 at the Carlton Beach Club in Cannes during the 75th Festival de Cannes. The event will honor filmmakers and feature a special performance by actor and singer Gary Dourdan who is currently touring in Europe. 

Rosie O’Donnell is set to host an incredible night of comedy to benefit Friendly House LA on Saturday, July 16th, 2022, at The Fonda Theater. The “Stand Up For Friendly House LA” benefit will also feature an array of amazing fierce and funny women including performances from Atsuko Okatsuka, Beth Lapides, Gina Yashere, and headliner Kathy Griffin.

Michael R. Jackson will appear in a special performance from his Pulitzer Prize-winning musical “A Strange Loop' during the 33rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards. The awards will also feature Ariana DeBose presenting an honor to Judith Light, Wilson Cruz receiving the Vito Russo Award, a performance from Dove Cameron, and more.

The first ever Japan Parade in New York City will be held on Saturday, May 14, beginning at 1pm.  The purpose of the parade is to celebrate, express and bring awareness to the friendship between NYC and Japan with a thank you from the Japanese community. Actor, author, civil rights activist George Takei will be the Parade’s Grand Marshall.
