The Paley Center for Media today announced that it will honor the LGBTQ+ community, and the television series that broke barriers, shattered stereotypes, and brought audiences together at The Paley Honors: Tribute to LGBTQ+ Achievements in Television on the Occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall. This momentous occasion will take place at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan on May 15, 2019, at 6:30 pm.

CBS announced today that it has renewed six more drama series and two news programs for the 2019-2020 broadcast season. SEAL TEAM, S.W.A.T., MADAM SECRETARY, BULL, HAWAII FIVE-0 and MACGYVER will return to the CBS lineup next season, along with longstanding primetime news shows 60 MINUTES and 48 HOURS. With these pickups, CBS has now renewed 18 series for next year.

Now the fundraiser has her sights set on creating opportunities for the nation's girls at the Girls Inc. of New York City Annual Spring Gala at Cipriani Broadway on Wednesday.

Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Rachel Brosnahan (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), model and activist Winnie Harlow, multiple Emmy and GLAAD Media Award-winning director and producer Ryan Murphy (“Pose”) will join previously announced special guests Samantha Bee (“Full Frontal”), CNN's Don Lemon, and the cast of FX's “Pose,” including 2017 GLAAD honoree Billy Porter. GLAAD previously announced that Sarah Jessica Parker will present the Vito Russo Award to Andy Cohen.

It's the beginning of the end for one of television's most successful, expensive and ambitious series.  Game of Thrones starts its eighth and final season Sunday night, but not before 60 MINUTES goes behind the scenes with its actors and producers to see how it was made. The segment will also include an exclusive clip from the opening episode of the much-anticipated season.  Anderson Cooper reports from the fantasy land of Westeros on the next edition of 60 MINUTES, Sun. April 14 (7:00-8:00 PM,  ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. 

SHOWTIME will premiere the second season of its animated comedy series OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT on Sunday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and will feature an animated appearance from Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness. Additionally, SHOWTIME has released the official key art and trailer for season two, which will consist of 10 half-hour episodes.

Diana Miller has been named Executive Producer of CBS THIS MORNING. Miller has been with the program since 2014 and currently serves as Senior Broadcast Producer. She assumes full oversight of the broadcast immediately and will report to Susan Zirinsky, President and Senior Executive Producer of CBS News.  

60 MINUTES topped the Nielsen List for the second straight week, drawing 12.6 million viewers to once again land at # 1, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, March 31, 2019.  It was the fifth straight week – and the 14th time this season – the CBS News magazine finished among the top five programs. 

On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, top comedians and celebrity guests will join sports superstars John and Patrick McEnroe and Andy Cohen at the third annual You Cannot Be Serious! evening of comedy at Carolines on Broadway from 7:30pm to 10:00pm. Proceeds will benefit the Johnny Mac Tennis Project, a transformative youth tennis initiative founded by McEnroe.

GLAAD, the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, announced today that it will honor Emmy Award-winning host, producer, and author Andy Cohen with the Vito Russo Award at the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City on May 4, 2019.  The award will be presented by Cohen's longtime friend and LGBTQ ally Sarah Jessica Parker. They join previously announced honoree Madonna, who will become the first woman ever to receive GLAAD's Advocate for Change Award. Cast members from FX's “Pose,” Samantha Bee and CNN journalist Don Lemon will also appear at the New York event.

60 MINUTES made the Top 5 for the third straight week and the twelfth time this season.  The CBS News magazine drew 10.1 million viewers to land at # 3, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, March 17, 2019.   It was also Sunday's # 1 prime program in viewers.
