Theatre streaming service STAGE continues to unlock popular titles from its catalog during the COVID-19 pandemic and make them available free of charge as part of its 'Free Streams on STAGE' initiative. Last night, fifteen Broadway stars were featured in Broadway Sings Queen, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings concert series at Sony hall. The tribute concerts take the music of well-known music icons and create new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. The Sony Hall series will continue on June 29 with Broadway Sings Taylor Swift and with their spinoff series at (le) poisson rouge, Adele: Unplugged, on April 13.

Maestra is an organization founded by Georgia Stitt that exists to give support, visibility, and community to female composers, music directors, orchestrators, arrangers, copyists, music coordinators, and musicians who are an underrepresented minority in musical theater. It's time for them to be heard.
Last night in the heart of the Theatre District, Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, hosted its annual New York City Benefit, BSC/NYC to celebrate its 25th Anniversary Season. The annual event raised $110K for Barrington Stage's Julianne Boyd New Works Fund. The one-night only cabaret took place at the The Green Room 42.
